Diebold Reviews

Excellent learning curve

Diebold is a good company that has poor management and will not change until management changes. Their approach to current affairs are very unorthodox but have a way of working. Team morale is low. They have all the resources but utilize it from a perspective that drives their workers to work to the bone. The negative attitude depicted by everyone shows the unhappiness. The company has the ability to grow provided they make their workers lives easier.

Pros: Extremely great exposure to the computer hardware and software field. Typical day at work starts at 8 where you receive call outs to clients such as fnb, standard bank, capitec. Make your way to site sometimes 200km get on site and apply your knowledge to the best of your ability. It's like you cannot stop thinking. I am mostly liked by my co workers but just because I have the ability to apply myself more they feel challenged. I have increased my knowledge on atms on how to fix them. Looking out for patterns. The perks of the company is the only thing I enjoy aside from getting to meet and interact with people. The most challenging aspects of my job is dealing with faulty spares that come in defective from stock.
Cons: Excessive driving. Long hours physically draining. 7 days a week work. You literally eat sleep drink work. No social life.

It's given me an opportunity to interact with diverse people.

My work day is never the same, every day brings new challenges, which I welcome and allows me to challenge myself in resolving them be it with staff, customers etc. I have a very good working relationship with my staff, I believe you have to be a good listener, who shows empathy and staff well being, you have to respect them in return you will get the respect and commitment you are looking for, that enables me to lead a dynamic team. I've learnt that the customer is always right and that you should always be professional in polite to you internal and external clients, as you will get the desired results in behaving this way. I enjoy the customer focus part of my job. The most challenging part of my job is dealing with difficult people, but with my vast experience, I'm able to assist and calm them down to get to the concerns and queries and assist in a professional manner with resolutions.

Pros: The company allows you to study
Cons: No opportunities for promotion as I'm a key man dependency.
