I'm currently working on a six to six shift day and night.I am surrounded by a strong team of which we believe in team work and transfering of skills.My work involves customer satisfaction as we assist in monitoring their fibre stability and reporting where updates are needed.

Company has focus on being a learning organization, it is progressive changing

Great company to work for if you are at the top or have favor advantage from those at the top.The bottom feeders benefit in terms of working environment which i s good and accomodates your work life balance. They do not benefit from competitive salaries or from possibilities of promotions

Pros: Company is people focused
Cons: Promotions are not easily received and it is still based on who you know not what you know

Life as a GRCS Analyst

A day for me starts with a health check on a number of security solutions, depending on the status may be a services or two are restarted. I then go to the SIEM to analyze the logs, this could take half a day or the whole day depending on the number of assets logs are collected from, and then I move on to alerts for the response of the EDR and AV. I interact well with the team as I do not have access to they remediate. Being a person who talks and works well with computers, interaction with members of the team is important as a security incident touches beyond the IT Security team. I love fault finding & my job allows me to do that, it is a little of a challenge having to explain to a user what an issue is in simple terms.

Pros: A great learning opportunity
Cons: Unstable hours

I am a hard worker

I am a hard worker, an analytical problem solver, and very eager to learn. Full of innovative ideas, I am a very ambitious and dedicated person. I am a team player with good problem-solving skills. I like sharing ideas and I prefer the benefits of the organization than personal glory. I am a well-organized person, with good time management skills, capable of working under pressure, a fast learner, and very flexible in learning things from different career streams. I am computer literate. My long-term goal involves growing with an organization where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much as I can. I plan to enhance my skills and continuing my involvement.

Pros: The company's economy is stable
Cons: Lot of traveling since I'm responsible of three regions
