Dept of Education Reviews

Computer Literacy

I usually work with teachers who are critical thinkers and hence have been developing that skill to be critically. I have a marvelous relationship with my co-workers because in most cases we share the challenges that we encounter in education system and try to forge a way forward as to how to best handle the children of diverse cultures. I have learnt that our children are no longer motivated to learn challenging subjects like Mathematics and Physical Sciences. So we are always meeting with my co-workers trying to find a solution to this national problem. I have also enrolled with NWU trying to close the gap with respect to content as concerned. I enjoy playing and watching sports especially soccer, cricket and tennis including athletics. The most challenging aspects about our education system is the change of curriculum and the failure for learners to pass Mathematics at a very level.

Pros: Hard working is my policy.
Cons: Hate people who are not punctual and disciplined.

The most challenging thing was to deal with service providers and they late payments from HR. And always had to Have plan B incase PO gets mixed up

Working with learners who are mainly from poor socio-economic background is challenging but fulfilling. AS an educator you end up playing different roles such as those that should be played by social workers, psychologist, therapist and all the required support staff. This on its own has armed me with skills that are needed in dealing with different personalities from different backgrounds and at different levels. I have successfully and skillfully learnt to embrace diversity.

Pros: Promotion opportunities in education sector are per the needs of the schools.
Cons: I am fully involved in extra mural curricula activities which calls for long working hours at times even over the weekends

Good learning experiance

There's good relationship between us workers and learners,.Sometimes it is challenging because we deal with learners with problems back at home, different characters.Dealing with learners is very enjoyable because they are just angels, you punish them today, tomorrow they come and hugs you.Overcrowding is the worst challenge because you do not give them much special attention

Pros: Promote love, care and affection for others
Cons: less opportunity for promotion

Facilitating and Training Employees

I develop them whilst gaining experience during the programme. Also to see the productivity at the end of the day. I also assess the work done by myself. I have learnt to be more tolerant and patient with the people that I work with and also give equal time to understand and give equal treatment. I'd say the most challenging aspect of this job is the poor participation I'd get from some of the employees, but cases like that are rare.

Pros: - Enlightens my life. - Gives relevance.
Cons: - Poor Planning.
