Encouraged continuous improvement

At delta beverages i have had a fantastic experience. The environment is conjusive for leaening as the company has morden machinery and is copying up with the manufacturinga way systems which are current. There is great morale amoungst the workers and almost everyone has that ability to work with teams. We work and win or lose in teams. At delta i have learnt to work with teams, communication skills, safety practices, i have also to work with minimum supervision. On the other hand i faced challenges on handling breakdowns as the company was taking a step of mordenising its systems, spares retrieval time was very long resultin in overtime work. However i enjoy a number of things there like trainings, courses ànd of course some entertainments like parties where braais and drnkages were issued out.

Pros: Great opportunities for carreer development
Cons: No pay on overtime but rather off days. Also low salary.

Excellent learning curve

Excellent relationship with co-workers learnt how to compile production reports taking into account hourly productions,losses,amount of raw materials used e.t.c I have also learnt how to fill job cards on each task carried out. The importance of creating a safe working environment has also been a major highlight on the things I have learnt. Problem solving and attending to challenging breakdowns in the least possible time is one of the most exhilarating part of my job.

Excellent learning curve

Excellent relationship with co-workers learnt how to compile production reports taking into account hourly productions,losses,amount of raw materials used e.t.c I have also learnt how to fill job cards on each task carried out. The importance of creating a safe working environment has also been a major highlight on the things I have learnt. I am a hardworking honest and reliable person who like to work as a team.

I have enjoyed providing team support to production and maintenance teams. l have been doing preventative maintenance installations of equipment and machinery where projects were carried out. Machining of spare parts on the lathe is currently part of my activities at the organisation with much success.

Pros: I look forward to the great opportunity of being promoted to charge hand since I have supervisory management skills.
Cons: l am ready to work long hours.

Excellent working experience at Delta Beverages for 4 years

My current work position is well,good work relationships with colleagues.We really work well together as a team for common goals and continuous improvement for the entity.I have personally learnt a lot of things at Delta Beverages.I came to join Delta Beverages in 2009 as an apprentice so ever since then i was learning how machines work,how they are fixed when they fail,the art of brewing beer (the process from actual brewing untill it is packaged.As a process Artisan i have learnt much on controlling down time by doing quick win methods of fixing breakdowns and escalating problems.

Eg Excellent learning curve

I like working at Soap and glory because it has taught me a lot about management and budget. I also appreciate the fact that i interact with customers on a daily basis. I meet different characters and personalities and this has made me grow more as i have learnt how to deal with people from different backgrounds.

Cons: No opportunity for further growth
