I started at Debt-In with no experience was given the opportunity to prove myself and gained all the experience. It is a well established company but i believe it time for me to grow and I'm very grateful for the knowledge they have provided me with. My job description was to call debtors and collect, we were collecting on behalf of a client. What I loved more about my job is that I was helping debtors to maintain a good credit profile and the fact that you communicate with more than 20 individuals per day. My co-workers are the most supporting people ever, when you need help they are there for you, even if you performed well they recognize your hard work that what I have taken from them. Challenges is dealing with debtors that just hang up on you but that where you need to be able to bounce back.

Learning curve

Great opportunity
Working for Debt-in has been a good experience thus far we spend most of our time on the telephone. The most important skill is verbal communication. Negotiating payment arrangements on past due accounts is the core of the collector’s job.Being able to articulate well, provide clear, concise response and instruction is integral to a collector’s success. I have a good relationship with every agent in the company due to my +- 7years experience and have learnt the importance of being a family in the company as we spend most of our time there then we spend at home. I have learnt that being passionate about what you doing and love what you doing will take me a long way. I enjoy negotiating for payments especially settlements as it helps the debtor name get cleared quickly and go back to having a good credit record. Advising them on the disadvantages and advantages/benefits of paying and non payment

A very happy person

Good learning exposure
As a collections call centre agent, I call customers to make payment arrangements for their handed over accounts. What I like about the company is that the staff and management are very welcoming and are always avail themselves to assist where they can The challenging aspect is when I'm chasing my targets in order to meet my KPIs and make commission

It's a good working environment but their basic salary is very low
Working at debt in has helped me alot. When I started a year ago I had no experience but now I have experience. The people who works there are welcoming, the environment is good. I have grown as a person and I have learnt to work under a lot of pressure. Working as a collections agent is a difficult job but you learn along the way that it's not just about you, but also the people you help with their debts. I enjoy when people show appreciation when their debts are finished and how they thank me, it's makes me feel appreciated. Even though there are hard times because some debtors are very angry with the client but I have my own way to calm them

Exellent learning curve
I have learnt the imporntance of working as a team in the job industry,the most challenging is to meet monthly budgets and I have kept a good relationship with my co-workers.

Great room for growth
Good company to work for, staff is being appreciated and treatment is good. Plus there's no uniform just were appropriately. Just need to give new comers more time to prove themselves. Also the working hours should be earlier than usual. But overall best company I've worked for so far, and also alot of room for growth
