Iam working as an Admin Assistant I am receiving samples and I log them generate sample sheet with analysis. After I am doing the final report that goes to the customer with results. If it happens the customer has a querry about something I try to help the customer if the customer is not satisfied is then I am referring the client to my bosses. The relationship with my co -workers is good. I've learnt a lot because when I started Working in my company I was an analysist but now I got a promotion to work at admin. I enjoy working with different people especially customers. Iam doing stock control, after doing purchase orders, emailing and answering phone.

Learning More

I am working as an admin assistant . My job description is to log samples, generating of report sheets to lab, generating of final report to the clients, doing stock control, purchase orders, emailing, scanning documents and answering the phone. I have learnt more because when I started working I was an analyst but now I am an Admin Assistant. I enjoy working with different people. The most important thing is to deal with quiries from clients.

Great learning and growing opportunity for school leavers or post matriculants

Working at DD Science has been a great opportunity for me. It has taught me how to deal with bully people and how to handle myself professionally.I have learnt how well to treat my co-worker and to respect my superiors and not to fear them. I have learnt everything from the chemical side like how to distill TCN,WAD,FREE Cyanide, COD,SO4,NO3,NO2,OA,PH,EC,Cl, NH4,MALK,Acidity,Turbidity, SS,TDS,Phenols and all the non accredited analysis. I then moved to administration and this is my second year in admin. I have enrolled at Boston Campus to broaden my knowledge in administration.I enjoy helping clients to solve their queries and making reports so that our customers will be satisfied. The challenges that i face is when the customer wants the results now and the analysts do not co-operate.

I am a hard worker. I am a fast learner. I am currently working at DD Science Laboratory. When I started working at DD Science I was an Analyst. I was analysing samples to determine pH and Conductivity, Chloride, Total Alkalinity, Sulphate, Ammonia, Oil in water and Soil,Turbidity and Phenol. After four years I was promoted as an Admin Assistant. I am logging Samples, Generating Report Sheets to the Lab. Generating a final Report that goes to the clients, doing Stock Control, Purchase Orders, Scanning Documents, Emailing reports to the clients and answering phone. I like working under pressure. I am working with different customers and I like challenges. I have a good relationship with my collegues.

Great learning and growing opportunity for school leavers or post matriculants

It is great opportunity to work at DD Science. Management is too lenient on staff so working here you must be self disciplined and motivated. It is a nice place to work at but financially is crippling.I have learned almost everything when coming to wet chemistry I almost applied for Technical Signatory but then Iwas promoted to work at the office.DD Science is like free university because most of us came without qualifications but they took us ant taught us everything needed.If it was not for financial status I would grow old with the company.What enjoy most is the assesment, when the assessing body is here everyone is kept on their toes and thats when you will test your knowledge with someone who is not bias.That is where we are all challenged. I have learnt to not mix business with personal life to have a good working relationship.

Previllege working in the Laboratory

Working in the Lab as an Admin Assistant is a challenge because you are working with clients in different companies. If there is a problem you have to solve it. Sending E-mails, doing Purchase Orders and logging of samples and generating report sheets and generating final report that goes to the customers.

I am working DD SCience Laboratory. I started working as an analyst from 2007-2011. I got promoted to work as an admin assistant. I am logging samples,creating the report sheet that goes to the lab with analysis, when the report sheet is full I do the final Report for the Clients. The lab is Accredited. I have learnt a lot how to analyse, how to scan documents, stock control, purchase orders,emailing some documents and lastly how to keep clients happy. My typical day is when we got assessed. I like working in a team. I enjoy my work because its challenging.
