Providing HR Leadership in a faced paced environment
Our work environment is extremely fast paced, ambiguous and challenging. My scope of responsibility vary on a constant basis between operational support and strategic focus. I thrive on relationships and through my relationships with others I achieve results. The opportunity at DB Thermal has given me the opportunity to be exposed to an international work environment. This has given me the opportunity to learn from others and to apply best practice locally. The biggest challenge of my role is to implement structure and process in an unstructured environment with constant operational and project challenges. While I strive to continue to implement best practice and process, the operational nature of the business requires a different focus.

Good learning curve
Everyone is very friendly and great to work with, theres no room for improvement to a certain ethnic group, I enjoy the work that i do but the pay is just too little. I have learnt a lot within the company but now I think its time to spread my wings

Different Eperience
DB Thermal was one of 25 major contractors at Kusile power station. The holding company is in the USA and with excellent systems across the world. The people were uncooperative in the beginning but overtime we implemented collaborative labour relations system then relations improved a lot. What i learnt that people wants joint decision making in matters that concerns them save for management's and union's preregotives, such was not without challenges though, there numerous work stoppages and strikes that employees from other contractors staged. The most challenging aspect of my job was to change the mindset of the majority of lower level employees most of whom had only basic education however, with joint decision making we overcome these challenges. What i enjoyed most was to interface with different cultures.

Good Learning curve
My job is deadline driven and its challenging and I enjoy it, meeting deadlines is satisfying. Having to work under pressure makes you stronger and pushes you to the limit. I have learnt to be tolerant of people, especially in a team - we all do not think the same but at the end of the day - we need to get the job done. I'm a great team player and enjoy working with a wide range of people. I have learned to identify and handle confidential matters. Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Excellent learning on maintenance vessels and building
Interpret different types of drawings, fabrications different types developments, building and maintenance different types of vessels, building different types of structures, using different types of power tools, doing hydro test, basic welding all types of weldings, doing STA daily basic and inspections all tools before I use it

Excellent Learning curve
Calculate claim Values based on Time impact analysis received from planning and legal department. Analyze payroll data and split site labour cost between DFL & IFL Download final CJI3 Report for period in question. Review Invoices in Cockpit for vendor. Open up the Invoices in cockpit to ensure it relates to the correct period. Once the correct Invoices has been identified then download them to the relevant claims folder. The purpose of the verification and download is to ensure the Site cost gets calculated correctly. Setup a spreadsheet for the Monthly P & G's or disruption cost. Divide the total cost by 21.75days and claim for the net working days as per claim summary. Summarize claim and submit to legal/PM for approval and submission to client work with

Excellent learning opportunities
Its is amazing. Have learnt alot since starting at the company and still learning everyday. Meeting new people was amazing. The company culture is excellent. Communications with workers from different country and culture is amazing

Ambitious self motivated outgoing Will to learn performing well under pressure Woking well with all races and speak few few African languages able to conduct safety checks audit risk assassement compilation including safety files
