Gaining lot of experience in an industry

I work as a forklift driver but I also do every work in the warehouse environment. Due to the experience I have it's not a challenge for me to do receiving and dispatching on daily basis. I enjoy the team working I currently have with my co-workers as it makes everything easier to meet deadlines.

Pros: I like and enjoy working in the warehouse environment. It taught me lot as I've been willing to DO/study supply chain all along.
Cons: Daily work load is unpredictable

Diverse Organisation

Rather diverse company however rather immature in comparison to the industry peers. Room for growth for individuals who are starting off their careers.

I have learnt to work under pressure,To work independently and in a team.

Team work is very important at work,My colleagues have really assist in improving and realising the how great it is to be in a team where you know even if you are not able to make it to work but they will cover all your work. It not always enjoyable being at work but with the positive team around you always forget the stress and the difficulties that we face on daily basis. I have learnt to do what I can do for the day,not to push to hard just to finish all my work in one day.

Better expectations, learning curves, Higher responsibility

anyAs you will see, I have extensive experience in Customer Service within the corporate and logistics environment, which does provide myself with the ability to work in different departments as well with different types of people, and teams. I have been within procurement for more than five years and the Senior Procurement Officer for Damco Logistics South Africa based in Durban. I thereafter moved onto the role as Claims & HSSE Officer for our Southern and Eastern Africa area, where the role pertained to the direct interaction, servicing and supporting of clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
