This company has increased my troubleshooting knowledge, more exposure in the IT industry

Working at Cybersmart has taught me a lot of things, my troubleshooting skills have certainly increased in terms of knowledge. One of the most difficult challenges i had to overcome was troubleshooting domain issues, setting up emails on different devices has certainly been a learning curve especially with Apple products but Fibre troubleshooting and router configuration has to be the most enjoyable aspect of the job. I work with a team of 25 people and to my knowledge we all get along just fine, team is essential here as we need one another for our different technical strengths. My typical work day as 1st Line support technician is to attend to all our customer's technical needs and that sometimes means you have to go beyond your job scope to deliver service.

Pros: Relatively small company compared to other established ISP companies, so you get to work closely with senior directors which is always beneficial in terms of knowledge and experience.
Cons: Shift work is a bit of challenge sometimes

Excellent learning opportunity

Too much politics with HR being the main issue as being Bias and lacks the required compentency to do her job. Working hours are from 07:30 - 22:30 within the contact centre. I have learnt you can not trust people who appear to have your best interests at heart. I have learnt to always document every interaction as your words get used against you. I enjoyed working with certain people who have assisted me in learning more and broadening my knowledge technically. Challenges included dealing with an incompetent HR person, she lacks the skills to perform her job correctly. People within the organisation had no respect in the way they would speak to people and felt it was okay to do so as this is how they always did things.

Toxic Working Environment

A typical work day can vary between relatively smooth versus extremely demanding and strenuous. This is normal at any business but just not at this company where it blows hot and cold way too often. My relationship with co-workers are fantastic. I have a very good sense of humor and I am very approachable. I have learnt to not get comfortable to quickly. I enjoy managing and over delivering on targets The most challenging is surviving a day in this working environment.

Pros: Hard work gets rewarded.

My experience at Cybersmart

Enjoyed helping clients and assisting them with fixing their issues. Got on very well with my colleagues. Poor management within the company as their is no proper reporting structure or help when staff has any issues nor any metric system in place to monitor staff performance and issues and proper training for this. Unfortunately the company does not offer growth opportunities even though this is offered at initial interview. Most challenging aspect of working at Cybersmart was having to teach myself troubleshooting issues which no training was provided for and being able to solve a clients issue based my self taught learning.

Goodggood company to l but it has its cons but you can't go forward there's no chancees to do so. Unless they need you then you good enough earn So yes thanks for the opportunity but I need to earn more money in li So yes im looking for a better opportunity with more money fe

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The relationship that i have with my co-workers is very good and the shifts are 9 hours a day plus you need to work during the night as well. i have learnt so much about domains,emails and communicating with customers.

Everyday is a new challenge as one has to deal with deals with different clients. With new products introduces into the company i get a chance to learn and research further as i keep my mind open for what ever is been introduced. Relationship with co-workers on a daily basis is that we help those around us. with any information we can share. I have learnt to always try to go an extra mile in what you do. I enjoy exploring new products and dealing with clients. Challenging aspect of my field as when i have a limited time to make sure that i understand what is bee introduced while learning new system.
