My Aupair Experience

Please Note there was no international cities in the list.I am currently working in Denville, New Jersey in the United States Of America , but will be leaving the States by 15 September 2017 I am currently an Aupair in the United states, I have moved away from my Family in Hopes of growing as an individual. That is what has taken place, i've learnt to endure to push beyond what they expect. My time has been very brief as it has been 5 months but its been an exciting journey I have learnt my strengths and areas that need improvement. My communicating skills have grown.. My ability to think on my feet as well as weigh out tough decisions.I was a naive, immature when I had left South Africa with an Idea of what I would like to do one day. I know return as a young woman with alot of ambition and drive. As my current occupation is child care, there is never a typical day.. My hours are from 8-4 I am in those 8 hours , a teacher , nutritionist, Nurse , friend and in alot of cases a toy.

Pros: Great Hours
Cons: Away from my family

Exceptional experience

I was an Au Pair for the last 2 years and before that I was a assistant teacher. My work days started early at 6:30 am. I did the morning routine with the kids, waking them up, getting them dressed, making breakfast and lunch boxes, also drove the kids to school. Did laundry and picked them up from school take them to extra curricular activities, made dinner, bath and bed time routine. I had a great relationship with my co- workers and we worked well together as a team. I learned that people approach situations different in life, i learned that the stages in children's development were of extreme importance and that every child is different at the same age and to not compare children with each other. I enjoyed being able to study abroad and traveling. The hours and the lifestyle.

Pros: I was able to study abroad and travel.
Cons: Living with my employer and working on weekends.

Excellent

Cultural exchange program that helps young girls go abroad and experience an opportunity of a lifetime...By staying with foreign host families in exchange for room and board and a minimal salary while gaining a work experience.

Pros: Great opportunity for travelling
Cons: Very hard working
