Cornerstone Institute Reviews

Good learning curve

A typical day at work is dealing with enquirers, processing applications, liaising with the registrar. Following up with prospective students, copying and printing general staff, dealing with walk-ins, project managing registration and assisting with graduation. I have a great relationship with co-workers, I connect with workers from other departments and have built a relationship that's healthy. I have learnt to be independent, time management and prioritizing my work well. I enjoy talking and being in a space filled with people, connecting to them and learning about them. I enjoy administration and organizing. The challenging part of my job is having to do other department's jobs, having to go out ot schools and do out reaches and unrealistic goals being set by management

Pros: Excellent place to meet people from all works of life
Cons: No opportunity for promotions

Organizational culture drives professionalism

my typical work start with me having coffee and going through my emails, then i meet with team to touch based on matters pending or follows up. I have an open door policy with co-workers and I show more interest in their professional and personal progress and prosperity. I have learnt to hit the ground running, initiate projects, team work and open to new ideas and insight, I enjoy interacting and working with people, stakeholders and senior and junior level both internally and externally and seeing projects coming to fruition. Getting students numbers and buying into private institute brand and education.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth and interact at most senior level
Cons: Weekend work at events and travelling
