Consulmet Metals Reviews

A great opportunity to learn the dynamics of the industry

Having worked in the accounting and administration department relationships with co workers is good. I learned a lot about the industry, the office environment is relatively small so there is not much opportunity to grow into senior roles due to the industry the company operates in. Company has a generally relaxed environment and often has team gatherings and outings to mingle with co workers which is great. When there is a huge work load, challenges include ensuring accuracy and service delivery. Overall its a professional company.

Pros: Good team environment and communication
Cons: Relatively small company with little opportunity for growth

Independence

You get given a lot of independence to take on projects on your own but can also request for assistance when needed. You get to be part of all aspects of the project, from the tender phase, costing, procurement, management, mechanical engineering, GA drawings, design reviews, HAZOPS, quality control, logistics, commissioning and project handover. The working environment is relaxed and the staff is great. One concern is that there aren't proper systems in place to ensure project management and quality management are done to a specific standard. There aren't many diverse projects in terms of processing different commodities so experience is lacking in that regard. The staff are not well looked after in terms of increases, bonuses and courses for staff development.

Pros: Independence
Cons: No staff developement
