Comair Ltd Reviews

Awesome and efficient customer service delivery

Working at the busiest airport in gauteng has been an eye opener to the diversity and beauty that surrounds us daily. I am expected to give an awesome travel experience to the passengers and I try on a daily basis to exceed expectation. My co-workers are more like family considering the fact that I spend most of my time at work as I currently work shifts, team work is a norm a each department works hand in hand with the other after all the passenger/customer is our priority. I enjoy the smile I am able to put on the customers face, those genuine thank remarks of thank you every now and then, making travelling effortless instead of a burden for every passenger etc. What is challenging is that we at times get so hectic and busy especially during the peak seasons and you'll find that our flights are overbooked however. We keep calm, try to calm the customer don and offer alternative and apologies for the inconvenience at times flights will be delayed due to bad weather or technical issues etc.

Pros: Exciting from day to day, not monotonous
Cons: Shift

Excellent exposure

We are a big family and have a great bond together. You learn something new everyday. Things do tend to get hectic. I enjoy working on our Sabre system.

Pros: Benefits
Cons: No growth

Re: Character building

The application did not allow the option of "Currently Unemployed". I resigned from Comair Ltd on the 5th Jan 2017 but currently managing my own self-created. Through this site I pushed my self to learn a new skill and self created the site from scratch. In my time spent at Comair however, a typical work day involved plenty of travel and having to communicate adequately with people from various demographics. In most days it was pressure related to Time Management. There are often sides to the job that most have very little knowledge of as it isn't as "simple" as most are led to believe - A professional relationship with co-workers was extremely important as not only does the work order of the day rely on it but so does your life (in the case of an emergency). - Through this position I learnt patience, multi-tasking, the ability to think creatively and quickly as well as assertiveness

Pros: Great opportunities for travel, flexible work hours,
Cons: Little personal time over peak seasons, limited growth opportunities, predictability in the predictability, few opportunities to be challenged

I want to try something new

I completed my studies with the Boston Education Group South Africa in 2003 the qualification of Professional Career Diploma Assistant Accountant. I progressed and continue my studies with Damelin College South Africa in 2004 achieving a Game Ranging Diploma and so adding and developing my interests and passion for wild life and conservation. I would like to be an integral part of a dynamic institution where my enthusiasm and hard work will lead to success not only for me but also for the company I represent. I need to be part of a progressive team where crafteative thinking and collaboration solves problems and contributes to the well being of the company. I am innovative, identify opportunities and apply resources efficiently and effectively. I am loyal, trustworthy, hard working, organized and objective in finding a win-win solution to disagreements. I am open to receptive feedback from others, am pleasant to be around with and have excellent Interpersonal Skills.

Pros: Awesome and fun
Cons: I’m Very detailed orientated

Excellent customer services skills

Dealing with irate customers and meeting there expectations. Defusing conflict situations. I have a very good relationship with coworkers as I believe in building and maintaining relationships at the work place. I enjoy making customers happy and listening to there demands, makes me learn for future experiences. The most challenging part of my job is dealing with the weather as this causes alot of inconvenience for both staff and customers.

Pros: You get to meet and deal with new and different situations everyday, good learning experiences
Cons: Weather and technical delays

Excellent tools given to staff, in means of training, to better themselves.

Best training Great colleagues Dealing with delays was the best, because you always get to deal with different situations and I love a challenge. It always made work interesting. I've learned a lot while working at the company, training given gave me tools that I can use in and out of the work place. I've started out as a passenger counter and ended up being a Customer Service Supervisor. It's challenging at times, especially when dealing with different cultures and beliefs, but that's what makes work interesting.

Pros: Tools given to better yourself
Cons: Micro management
