I learn nothing new all I learn was at my previous work at Retecon and T.S.Services

WE START OF WITH A MEETING, AND THEN WE GO TO OFFICES WERE WE SEE WHAT WORK MUST BE DONE AND WHAT SPARES WE HAVE RECEIVE TO FIX THE MACHINES. I HAVE TO DO MEETINGS WITH THE BRANCH MANAGER EVERYDAY. I HAVE HAD 20 CNC MACHINES IN THE SPRINGS BRANCH AND ABOUT 20 CNC MACHINES IN KRUGERSDORP TO KEEP IN RUNNING ORDER. OUR SPRINGS BRANCH WAS AT A POINT 1% BREAKDOWNS. I LOVE MY CO-WORKERS AND HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH MOST OFF THEM. WE HAVE RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER. I HAVE TO DO PC BOARD DESIGN FOR WATERING PLANT LEVEL MACHINES IT WAS A GREAT CHALLENGE FOR ME AND I LIKE IT AND ENJOY IT VERY MUCH. I HAVE TO RUN THE FLOOR WHEN THE ENGINEER WAS NOT IN AND TAKE CARE OFF HIS DUTIES. WHEN A PROJECT WAS GIVEN FOR US I HAVE HELP AND DESIGN AND PLANNING THE PROJECT AND THEN HANDEL IT TILL IT WAS FINISH.

Pros: I have apply for many promotions but was never given the change, they always said they have get someone from outside and normally it was persons inside family. sorry to be so honest.

This was another learning curve because I was ft want IT enviroment

Working in a manufacturing environment was great because you could be part of a company where a product is done from the start to end. And to see the see product being send to shops.

Pros: No opportunity for promotion
Cons: Long working hours and weekend's

Excellent learning curve

they dedicate time outside of working hours to improve their work. they generally know how to make good use of their time and fit everything in. in group work they tend to take the initiative and set the pace and lastly they prefer short-term benefits that provide a more immediate reward.

Pros: ability to manage autonomously in different environment.
Cons: normal hours, sometimes you work overtime.

Review

The company has taught me a lot engineering wise and to upskill myself. I just feel it is time for growth.Recently i have been asking for an increase but i was told we only get an aannual increase.difference in salaries between fitters,electricians and millwrights is not much which is not fair to the amount of work we do as millwrights.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn
Cons: Not enough renumiration for trade tested millright.
