I have enjoyed working with different buyers,in different categories which made me discover I can adapt in any category and brands.I have mostly enjoyed the culture the teamwork and the drive to deliver the best Category. I had had the pleasure to work in a Project Category where in depth research has been required in offering the best skincare products to customers with serious skin problems. Since the business is very promotional driven it has been very challenging preparing for more then one promotion ans liasing with stakeholders.I have had an opportunity to deal with the best suppliers.I have learnt in this business you can go very far if you put a lot into it and go beyond your role as an assistant,that counted a lot for future promotions and I have learnt that you need to develop yourself as an individual as so to align yourself with future opportunities.

Pros: Working in a project category where there is a lot to learn with regards to facial needs,attending supplier strategy meetings and product presantations and trade shows,getting involved in the planning of product launches and preparing samples.
Cons: Attention to detail is of utmost importance as assistant you deal with pricing so any mistake can cost the business millions,too many promotions with tricky offers to load on the system.

Daily duties

I work on a maintenance logging system (BMC Remedy Force), on witch all maintenance related call are being managed . I then send out a suitable contractor that specializes in the particular field to assist with the maintenance issue. I create and maintain preventative maintenance. Manage contractors when on site in order to assist the Facilities manager. Maintain the supplier data base for site as per the ISO regulation Ensure that all authorized expenses are sent to Accounts help desk (NSSC) for purchase orders. Distribute purchase to suppliers. Ensure that all invoices received are matched to delivery note and PO and sent for payment. Ensure that authorization process has been followed for all expense. Assist IMS manager with any administrative requirements. I assist with all general filling and administration duties

About me

I am a hard working individual who always strives to achieve her best and never gives up. I always try to live my life according to my faith and easily able to get alone with people of all beliefs and backgrounds. When under pressure I will say a short prayer in order for me to stay calm. I am professional and a dedicated individual. I separate my personal life work life and always remember that I am being paid for perform as the company is investing in me to perform my daily job. What I have learn in life is that if someone at work or even in my personal life upsets me its best to keep quiet because saying things out of anger is not only hurtful to the other person but you will live with the regret for what you said. I always try to be friendly and supportive of my colleagues. I do not only want to see myself grow but want to support my colleagues to achieve the best they can as well. I am honest and trustworthy, and always reliable.

Excellent experience

I do have understanding of data collection methods (telephonic, face to face and emails/online), focus groups and in-depth interviews. My experience includes Pricing and promotions, Market Research, Customer Satisfaction, Segmentation, Attrition and Loyalty Research Value Proposition and Concept Testing (including product development). Familiarity with information analysis based techniques including: threat matrix, benchmarking and positioning: performance grid, competitor profiling, pricing tracker, product portfolio matrix, SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, competition intensity and market dynamics. I’m advanced on analytical tools including SPSS, SAS, SAP(BI System) , Excel, Qlikview, MS SQL, Oracle, SuperCross, VBA, MS packages, including Databases, Data extraction/Storage, Data management and writing of Data Specifications for documentation and programmes etc.

Pros: Pricing and promotions is good department
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent learning curve

Typical work day ups and down because we have to increased our sales. My relationship with my colleague it was good even i left the company. I learn a lot like how to merchandise a medicinal section. I enjoy the new challenge. The new aspects for work and a new customers so that we can keep them buying more often.

Good

all things are gooThorough knowledge of typology and process of market research experience and understanding of the research methodologies, tools and techniques for Business requirements gathering and research brief/proposals design, Sample sizing and methods of Questionnaire design based on business/project objectives. Good learning experience

It's a good company to work in, you learn more about yourself and customer service on daily basis. It teaches your discipline and patience ,But there's very little growth and hardly and opportunities for promotions.

Pros: Meeting different types of people
Cons: Long hours, no promotions
