SETA exposure

I am currently working at the Seta as a Regional Skills Advisor on a temporary position for a person who is on sick leave. It is a challenging environment which always keeps one busy, I am very passionate with Learning and Development, Skills Development and Talent management so I overlook the pressure we work under so that I am able to deliver the best result which most of the times is over and above what is expected of me. I have acquired a thorough understanding of the South African Legislation related to the Seta with regards to the disbursement of grants and handling multi projects at the same time while ensuring that all the stakeholders assigned to me deliver effectively all the projects they were funded.

Pros: Great understanding of all the acts and legislation associated with skills development, project management and grants disbursement
Cons: Working till 22:00 almost everyday

An Amazing Place and Growth Point

I am the Generalist and i have the pleasure to have my hand on every area of the business I love the people and i have positioned myself as the go to person and there is no space i have not worked on in the Human Resource platform

Pros: I wanted to Grow and expend my skills set in a new envirnoment
Cons: we worked as a small team and we did a lot and time was not on our side

Excellent and new learning curve in the new industry of chemical

- it is very hectic -critical information that needs to be handled/filled appropriately -healthy working environment - friendly people and strict at the sometime when it comes to work. -no challenges that are new for me from the experience that i have working for Seta's

Great learning and experience

- Very Challenging - Great culture - Always busy because of learners - I love it because i know i make a difference to someones life on a daily - There is no open door policy - Micro managing is a no for me - I typical work day is getting and to work and not knowing what to expect. what will ruin your day

Great exposure to skills development

Great working evironment , excellent support from team members z exposure to skills development , felt privalleg to assist youth with career choices , challenges were dealing with audits and having bro account for all training although this has also thought me the responsibility of not

Learning curve

My internship is based on my certificate in business principals and practice where daily i do administration work, like meeting settings, travel bookings, help practitioners with grant payments on the MIS, audits and filling and checking SQMR evidence to say the basics. Training is also included we have had office management training and interpersonal skills training.

Pros: Learning to work in a professional environment.
Cons: Small company no alot of space
