Excellent learning curve

We work as a team in the financial markets department, divided into three sections,portfolio managers,risk and compliance and treasury operations.The work follow starts from the portfolio managers to risk and compliance and end at treasury operations where I'm placed at ,where we do the settlements,accounting ,reconciliastion and manage operational risk of investments and security instruments. I have learnt the importance of team work and open communication. This lead to high levels of productivity.I have also been equipped on analytical skills,customer service and interpersonal skills. Most challenging aspects of the job is the fact that we deal with the issue of different times zones with our counterparties

This will be an excellent opportunity for growth and job enrichment

A typical day start with a financial markets scan to inform our decisions on counterparties that we are trading with. This is then followed by a review of analytical risk reports for any risks exposures that need to be coorected.

Pros: This would be a great opportunity for both promotion and new ventures
Cons: Lack of support and adapting in a new environment
