Bussy day

I read through loads of emails,place orders,pay orders and release them.I have to look after clients we deliver to,sourcing the best depot to uplift from,finding the best transporter and rate.All before 10:00 as no orders can be placed for same day delivery after.I resolve any customer queries,complete outstanding Tax Invoices,do some basic bookkeeping and resolve any queries with the bookkeeper.I contact clients to do some marketing some order for R 4mil,pay upfront and have never even met me.I assist anyone who asked me to resolve something for them, as a shareholder this would be anything of the day to day of the company.I resolve everything from IT issues,conflict I do all administration,implemen processes,approve contracts and pay accounts. I even renew our vehicle licenses as I believe in being both hands, but knowing when and what to delegate.All of this while I get continuous phone calls from clients making queries, placing order,complaining ,venting when frustrated or just requesting updates.

Pros: I am a director so my time is my own and flexible.
Cons: Being the director does not help with leave, as I am always working even when overseas. This is the reason I have more leave than most because I can never truly switch off.
