Challenging, but exciting and satisfying environment

I typical workday would include the oversight of the entire hotel operations from front office, through breakfasts, conferences, sales, quotations, suppliers, rooms division and housekeeping, facility management and maintenance, whilst balancing revenue and expenditure continuously. I have learnt to multi-task, handle very difficult situations still maintain a calm demure with guest and personnel. The most challenging aspect of this position is to balance every department and their needs and apply excellent discipline in discerning between what is urgent and what is important. The most enjoyable part of hospitality is to experience satisfied guests and to see staff that feel valued every time a satisfied guests take the time to thank or compliment them. An additional benefit is to see my colleagues develop and grow

Pros: It is a privilege to work in such a beautiful environment
Cons: Long hours does take its toll and the ever changing tourism industry
