Cargo Compass SA Reviews

Good place to work and get shipping work experience

Cargo Compass is a big privately owned company, the work environment is pleasant but you get hands on experience for the full import process therefore you are put in difficult situations once you are permanent but guide you when necessary. In Cargo Compass there is not much place for growth therefore very difficult to move up the ranks. Many people view this business as a starting block for greater and bigger achievements therefore not your final destination where you would find it difficult to leave. Overall decent place, good work experience alot of knowledge gained

Pros: Good work environment, pleasant people to work with
Cons: Salary is average at best

Great learning experience

In my 2 years at my current position, I have learnt many things about the freight industry including the extreme pressure dealing with clients and meeting delivery requirements. I have gained the knowledge required to assist clients and keep them happy with providing them with accurate and reliable information. I have gained the trust of my colleagues and management to effectively manage my work on my own strength. The most challenging part of the job is making an impossible delivery possible.

Pros: Great learning opportunity
Cons: Distance travelling, long hours and immense pressure
