I would like to spread my wings, learning more about other companies , programs and all

im a trainer and doing admin duties through the morning then training will start, i do train the community, upskill them with computer knowledge. we are 3 co workers in our centre assisting community daily with printing , compiling and research work. i do ordering of stationery, compiling of stats weekly and monthly reports, we have monthly meetings with staff, and weekly planning aswell. ive learnt alot about programs, regarding computers, working with people, no challenges, its exciting for me to train community and showing them what there is to know about.

Pros: ive met alot of people, went places for attaining new knowledge, ive learned to be confident in what i do and always be presentable and always to be prepared for your tasks, daily lessons
Cons: no long hours, normal 9 hours per week,

Excellent learning curve

Cape Access is a programme that provides access to information and communication technologies (ICT) to less privileged and rural communities across the Western Cape. ICT is a term used to describe a range of technologies that include computers, cell phones and the internet, as well as the various services and applications associated with them.It is very nice to work at Cape Access , at Cape Access you learn how to communicate with people. You also get trained on how to manage computers , like the basics you have to know. My day at work consists of doing the admin , assisting people that may come here , putting data onto the database and make sure everything is up to date. I work very well with my co-workers , its very rare that we have fights or misunderstandings. I learned a lot from computers and how to treat customers . I also learned how important it is to communicate with others. I enjoy daily challenges . The most challenging aspects of my job is when i'm doing assessments .

Cons: internet that is slow at times

Amazing working for Cape Access

- Working for Cape Access gives me an opportunity to interact with users. - Facilitating Information Communication Technology expand broader knowledge about Computer and presenting skills, working for Cape Access proved my report writing skills and direct Technical skills , i use communication as a daily tool That is used and since been working i am more involved in the development of the centre in particular ICT and community development

Pros: I started as an Admin Assistant being dedicated and always willing to learn as got me an opportunity to be promoted as a development manager
Cons: I am always willing to work long hours to facilitate a group of employed people 3 hours after they come back from work

Excellent learning curve.

This are my duites: Assisting with administration duties such as set up and maintains suitable records and administration system for the centre, such as the filing and database system. Conduct extensive research on behalf of the e-centre. Responsible for the marketing programs of the e-centre. Assisting with upgrading the website of the e-centre. Conduct training programs at the e-centre. Ordering Office stationary when stoke are needed. Answering of incoming and outgoing phone calls. Exchanging information with other company departments. Assist with technical support in the Centre. My relationship with my co-worker is good, we understand each other. I have learnt a lot and my skills has improved, especially my computer and communication skills.

Pros: Great computer training opportunities for free. Daily access to internet.
Cons: The work is not challenging enough and it is a develop program, so you will never be permanent employed(you only get a 2 year contract).

Very administrative and task driven. Excellent facilitation and communication skills and a good listener. Excellent enhancing and learning curve

My duties including asssiting with the public(logining in on PCs, Printing , Scanning , assisting customers who are computer illiterate) and ensuring the centre is clean and neat . I also got to give an e-learner lesson to students. I have an professional and understanding relationship with the two co-workers I share the workspace with. I have learnt how to interact more with the public , telephone etiquette , email etiquette and how to handle conflict in an professional manner. What I enjoy most is teaching and helping those who struggle when it comes to the use of computers , as a result, my own computer skills have improved immensly.

Pros: Great opportunity to gain customer service experience.
Cons: No holidays

I would like to broaden my horizons.

We are working a full day 40 hrs. For the longest time we were only 2 but we received an intern April and things just got better. The intern works hard and is eager to learn. I'v always enjoyed working with adults and at this work I get to do this. Being a mother the hours are very strenuous but the reward at the end of the day is wonderful.
