Overcoming challenges

As a marketing manager with a staff compliment of 12, my work can become quite varied in terms of meeting everyone's needs in my department. it can also be quite challenging to fully submerge into my own portfolio without someone needing my assistance, approval or attention for a particular need. I definitely believe in planning, coordinating and delegating where necessary. I'm meticulous and have experienced that with great planning comes great success. A typical work day will start with a list of measurable. Then i touch base with my team of their measurable's and objectives. I do a lot of work with external suppliers so its important that they too understand their deliverable's and deadlines and this requires my attention for a big chunk of the day. I enjoy seeing projects comes full circle and successfully so.

Pros: Re-branding and re-position the company was a great opportunity.
Cons: Deadline driven

Business Partners is a good company with great values,good work ethic.

Accounting function eg. Journal entries ,audit queries,etc. I have good relationship with my collegues. We assist each other when help is needed.I have learnt a lot from liasing with auditors with audit pack preparation,queries,etc. Vat and Provisional Tax submission,etc.I enjoy learning and growing in my career.

Cons: At times , need to priortise work according to urgency

First job after graduating

I was employed at my current organization after graduating. I learnt that it is vital to negotiate in interviews and not settle if you not satisfied The people employed at this organization are amazinh warm hearyed and friendly. Theres a spirit of helpfulness and support The salaries are not great for many people. There are no growth opportunities for younger staff

Cons: Salary grow is slow

Diversified working enviroment

I work in a team of 20+ individuals divided into three groups (7 of which are my immediate teams members) within my work environment, I interact with all other departments including the most important being the accounting and legal departments.

Pros: Internaction with different people
Cons: Travelling for long hours at a time
