Always willing to assist anyone

My typical day at work, I manufacture the machine/s and apply Tig-welding on mild steel and stainless steel. I must ensure the machine/s are built as per the customer's request and ensure the machine/s are built as per the drawings I receive. My work/job must be very good quality. Once the machine is made in the Boiler shop I also need to assemble it. I do have a very good relationship with co-workers, I get along with all co-workers. I have learnt a lot from my company, I learnt to manufacture machines, to apply Tig-welding on mild steel and stainless steel. I learnt to assemble these machines that are manufactured. I enjoy my job, I enjoy seeing how the machine is manufactured from scratch and how it is assembled.

Pros: I learn a lot, manufacture a big variety of different machines
Cons: Sometimes my job may be dangerous, regards to grinding & welding

It was a great learning curve and fell inline for what and where I want to take my carreer to.

The day starts with a project discussion pending on the team a d project you are working on. The tasks involve calculations, design a d draughting work, research a d info regarding project equipment. Order small components. Book the hours for the day on SAP. All these tasks are dependent on the stage that the project is on. I have learnt aloall the in and outs a out food processing and food safety. I enjoy being part and responsible for the consumption of animal and human feed/food. Seeing how the project gets together a d travel all over the world executing our projects. The most challenging aspect a out the job is working with unskilled or bad management to put it plainly

Pros: Opportunities to grow is there
Cons: Managers blocking you from promotion or better post in other regions

Excellent Learning Curve

I have started as a Design Engineer where I was tasked to design concepts and proposals for Quotation Engineers. The following year I was part of a solution for Buhler Clients in the feed industry, I was part of the team for 3 months in Switzerland. I was then tasked in the position to be a Process Flow Diagram draughtsman for the Feed Department. My duties and responsibilities grew more when the Feed and Mill Department merged where I became part of a milling team and working in the fulfilment part of the a project where the use of AutoCAD 3D, Bentley and ProjectWise is a priority. Included in my duties is to support other Engineers and draughtsman with the AutoCAD draughting software and project related issues

Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent learning curve

The company is a good company just that the people in charge think its their Father's company. unfair to certain people and the foreman can barely work well with people

Excellent learning curve

I am a young man at the age of 36 years and having a good experience , I have a good personality and working smart. I started to work as a storeman at Barloworld in 2005 to 2010 , I moved to Sandvik in 2010 to 2011 and now am working as receiving clerk at Buhler. Am computer literate an I have knowledge on SAP , Microsoft Outlook , Microsoft Excel , Microsoft Word and experience on fork lift. Kind regards, XOLANI NKONYANE

Great team and each day brought a different challenge

I am currently retrenched and am studying towards my B-Tech in mechanical engineering. I've got about 8 years experience in s corporate environment. I am immediately available to start work. I have 4 years experience as mechanical draughtsman and 2 years experience as a cell leader for a production plant. I have completed my national diploma in mechanical engineering and I completed various cad and inventor courses. I have also completed a 6 month course in fundamentals of project management. I enjoy working in a team environment and I work well under pressure.

Pros: Great team of people
Cons: There were not many growth opportunities.
