Driven by Passion I love what I do.
I work with precious metal Gold, Platinum and Diamonds. As an administrator I record the number of units that we have on the Factory. We do stock take once month e calculate the over all units, the units that we distributed to our stores, the ones we currently have in the factory. My duty is to make sure that all jewelers (bench workers) have enough units for the day. . Communication is one of the most important factors at Browns as co-workers we update each other with every action that we take in order to prevent repetition of things for example calculating a bunch twice. I have learned the importance of planning. We need to have a strategy for our day-to-day work in order to be successful in what we do. A wise man once said "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. The most challenging part at work its stock take. Its very challenging because at the end of the day our stock take should always balance we always make sure that we do not have a variance.
Pros: We work with young people so they have a lot energy, they are fast and effective

Good experience
Working in retail is not easy. The hours are hectic and as an administrator the work becomes monotonous. I personally would not want to go into sales therefore there was no growth opportunities for me in kzn. Our regional offices are in jhb and opportunities for me would be more possible. Browns is a lovely company to work for. I would say their incentives are amazing and motivating.

Maintenance candidate specialist on electrical work

Good in analyzing
I am determined to continuously learn and expand my theoretic and practical knowledge of statistics in order to stay up to date, relevant to the industry, and grow as a statistician by conducting researches, and registering for and attending relevant specialization courses and training. Also to improve my analytical thinking and problem solving skills, and most importantly to use the skills that I have acquired and still to acquire to help in adding value to the industry.

Excellent learning curve
There are many learning opportunities. We have a lot of sales training which can be used for a lifetime. The staff is friendly and pleasant to work with. You meet a lot of great people and tourists. It's absolutely amazing to be a part of people's special and important occasions.

An awakening
Atmosphere looks professional. Relationship amongst co-workers is great. Everyday work is stressful. There's much to learn, not much training and development provided for employees. Most managers lack managerial and leadership skills which ends up frustrating and de-motivates staff and increase staff turn over and absenteeism Few staff members benefit from company benefits. There's no open line of communication.The working environment is stressful.
Pros: BROWN'S Code is Good..only if it was properly followed and practiced all the time
Cons: Poor Company benefits. And lot of discrimination

Growth opportunities
A well established company with opportunity to learn more besides being promoted. Financially not well looked after and works best in emphasizing growth in skills. Have a great team that pulls together in achieving one certain goal.

Excellent learning experience
Great company, it taught me alot in terms of team work, administrative skills and public relations. They constantly train their current and new staff according to the constantly changing market and systems. The staff is welcoming and there's a feeling of family once you have settled. It's a high pressure environment and leaves little room for mistakes since the company deals with valuable items and money. The working hours were not so friendly especially at peak season. Definite opportunity for grown depending on your performance and is high performance based. the company has amazing rewards and incentives based on your performance ofcourse. What I enjoyed the most was the support and relationship I had with my colleagues.

Excellent learning curve
My name is Nomcebo Valencia Nkalanga. I stay in the surroundings of Nelspruit, i currently turned 31 years. I enjoy interacting with people a lot because that is when i can learn new things as an out come of growth. I enjoy solving the problems, i achieve that through listening and paying attention to my surroundings.

Excellent learning curve
Working there is okay .. Nice environment and people mind their own business.. In my team it gets hectic. Like any other finance department.. Team work is key.. A lot of deadlines.. Urgent workloads However there is no growth and challenges to alevate your career.
