My name is Suzan Modisa; I am a 27 years old female from Hammanskraal. I am a friendly – polite and honest person who is open-minded to new ideas and experiences. I have a curious character and therefore am eager to learn new things and am interested in the people around me. I am communicative and I like to work in groups. I have completed my diploma in Food Technology and have been in the food industry for 4 years in various positions and in a High Risk facility (meat processing). I have now arrived at a point in my life where I have to make decisions that are vital for my future. This will allow me the opportunity to utilize my experiences gained as a Food Technologist. Additionally, much of my skills and experiences are transferable especially in the areas of technology, making me a versatile candidate. Given the opportunity, I am confident that my experience and personable disposition would be an asset to your department

Quite challenging

I oversee departmental housing keeping, ensuring that departmental consumables are available daily. I monitor and verify product temperatures and complete process control records. I also participate and contribute in non-conformance investigations. I get along well with my team and have a good working relationship. It has been challenging at first since I was not qualified in Quality Control but I gave it my best to learn and succees, of which I believe I have done exceptionally well.

Great platform for career growth

Experienced employees who able to assist each other since working in FMCG is a linked chain. I work as a quality assurance technologist supporting NPD in taking products to the factory. Also do final product specs, packaging in retail, process control of new products, process flows and validations

Excellent learning

I've learned to work under pressure daily I've learned to work under procedure for years with no minor mistakes I've also learned to lead and train people and became good workers in short period of time All in all I've learned to be patient at work place that my time to be official a leader it will come all thou I am working on bad and good conditions...I just have to do my job

Pros: its hard to work on this company because they appreciate what I do got them for years people come and go I'll training their staff but they never give me rate increase or even a promotion to high level
Cons: you'll find working too much hours and they struggle to pay you...working from 6 to 6 daily for 6 days a week even sometimes Sundays and every thing they don't want to hear your day its always them

Good negotiation skills

I plan my day in advance , whereby i jot down what is to be done the following day so that i get to complete my tasks withing a stipulated time frame. I am well organised and can work very well under pressure. I have a good working relationship with both my suppliers and co workers. Throughout my work experience i have learnt how to deal with different ethnic groups, learnt how to handle pressure and to mind my own business when i am at work place and focus on getting my job done to avoid any production stoppages or short deliveries. The most challenging aspect of the job is when supplier dont deliver as promised , that in turn messes up the production plan, so in order to avoid this i have to constantly follow up on my orders on time to avoid shortages.

Great learning curve

I've learnt quality controll skills, analytical skills, communication, problem solving skills. Great cultural environment and diverse. Medical aid support to all staff.
