Great journey of self development and growth within my own journey and that of my Team

The last 2 years has been a great culture and Leadership growth journey, with big focus on people development, especially within my Team. Personal behavioural awareness has been my biggest growth and learnimg area, and something which I have enjoyes the most. I have a hery collaborative approach, viewing the business as a connected ecosystem, rather than silos or depratments, and as such, had a very positive relationship between myself and my Team, with other departments and colleagues. The most demanding piece of the job has been the predictability of the industry and market. After 19 years there arw very few new surprises, and there for I am seeking to grow in another sector or industry.

Pros: Stable company. Global footprint.
Cons: Predictability and stagnant nature of the industry.

Excellent learning curve

Relationship with co-workers were great. The environment was a bit toxix. I enjoyed working with stakeholders. The most challenging experience is having to get something from overseas delivered in 2 day's

Great opportunity to learn the retail side of the company

It is a diverse and unpredictable work environment, agility is key to make impact. Co-workers appreciate the effect of each other in teams and takes pride in achieving together as a team. I have learnt a lot about the retail side of the business. Enjoy most to be associated with the product that is number ONE in the world. As a quality and sales driven environment, there is pressure in being innovative in all our efforts and this can be challenging at times when not all the resources are readily available.

Pros: Opportunity to meet and work with people across the globe. Technology use.

Very hard working and any quick learner. Easy to get along with, put my work first and believe in company policies and adhere to it at all times. Always lookingfor new challenges to see my self and company grow.

Providing excellent customer services to clients outside the borders of South Africa

Excellent company with a great brand. Very well known in the industry . I have enjoyed my time at this wonderful organization. Everyday is a new challenge, new opportunities to to grown our market share in Africa.

Great experience to start my career

Bridgestone South Africa is a good company with a very good opportunity. And I have learned a lot since I started working with bridgestone for the past 9 years, I started as an assistant operator and today I am a production foreman and I love doing what I do as a team leader. I have a good relationship with my senior and my team, the most challenging moments is when I experience people who doesn't understand the goal of the company and the importance of him or her to be a part of the organization.

Pros: Very good opportunity for promotion
Cons: Long working hours before rest.

It is a good working place to start a career

This a good working place as you learn the physicality and implementation of systems from scratch until they operate. There is a lot you can learn and there is also a lot of hands on experience hence you understand how machines work and how to tackle a breakdown with minimal downtime on production. However most machines do not have updated drawings hence you have to use your own knowledge to take tasks.

Pros: Great opportunity to start a career
Cons: Production at this time is low and workers are struggling
