It is an exllent learning curve.

A typical day is evaluating safety of employees in their every day operation, and ensure that all machinery is safe for operation. Investigate any previous day safety issues. Analyse machinery breakdowns reports and provide the maintenance programme for the artisan. Monitore my maintenance expenditure and align it to the department's budget. The relationship with my co-workers is that of mutual benefit from each other, we time and again hold meetings to iron out any differences that arise due to the heat of the manufacturing industry, that may hinder our progress as a team. A happy team creates a good environment that produces results. Time taken to understand and listen to the members of your team brings people close to each other and work as a winning team.

Positions held - Human Resources Manger, Training and Development Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Quality Manager and SHEQ manager. I have traveled extensively overseas and deal with OE customers on a regular basis. I have a sound understanding of Management and Budget Control. Currently I have 120 employees reporting in to me - Indirectly I have 840 employees reporting into my department.

Execellent

It is a great place for growth. It requires a person to be dedicated and disciplined. There is a lot of opportunities in the company. We have different departments where you can start at an entry level to the top senior management. it is very broad and allows one to be anything they want.

Excellent experience leaning company

It is a good company for a person to work at. I have leaned that as a new Fitter at the company ,the operators can be able to help you with the operations of the machines if you are polite to them. I also realised that a good team work with other fitter helps course we come from different companies and we came across different break downs in our career as fitters. The most important thing I got used to it fix the break downs on the machine as fast as it can be, so that we must not delay production.

Pros: Promotion at this company's engineering side are not handed to black people
Cons: We get overtime sometimes.

I possess strong skill in calibration and troubleshooting of existing control systems. Experience and knowledge ranges from installation, maintenance and testing of instrumentation systems and loop commissioning

To be involved in targets reaching environment and honest open people and a company who put people's safety first. Diversity not be judged through colour of skin.

Promoted to SHE manager PE plant but plant is closing down now

Enjoyed working at the company but plant closing down now Was a very goof learning experience for me and I believe I am now ready for the next step in my career and add more value to any commpany that will provide me the chance to do so for them

THIS INCLUDES ALL ISSUES RELATED TO PROCESS QUALITY, SYSTEMS QUALITY AND PRODUCT QUALITY ASSURANCE. I ALSO HAVE THREE LABORATORIES REPORTING TO ME DIRECTLY – THE LABORATRORIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TESTING AND RELEASE OF ALL INCOMING RAW MATERIAL AND IN PROCESS MATEERIAL.
