Excellent learning potential

Challenging job with lots of additional work. Must have the ability to multi task. To teach and be taught. Plenty of meetings. Long hours. Customer complaints.

Learning curve

It is an intense working environment that is full of change and challenges. I loved working there as everyone treat the next person the same and they respect each other. I have learnt so much including communication skills, negotiating skills, managerial skills, conflict resolution skills and also on how to do reports

Good listener and Negotiation Skill

All ways making sure that the deadline is reached and working in teams to achieve one goal good communication with my co workers knowing that when is time for is time for fun and when is time for work we get down to it.

Poor Management

While the brand is strong , the company is not. BMW Financial Services is ridden with poor managers with no leadership skills. Their own management review showed that no managers have the ability to influence. They are strong with execution but only through delegation (in other words lack or ability to execute and laziness). In the five years that I have been here, I have learnt nothing from the company but only from the additional qualification that I obtained which I paid for myself. Even once obtained, the masters degree obtained was not recognised. I shall warn anyone that intends on joining here. I have been stuck here for this long because of studies and maternity leaves which I had to work back. If not for these, I would have left a long time ago.

Very innovative

Its is a very competitive environment as we are mostly driven by the targets that we need to meet on a daily basis the energy levels are always high and we encourage each other and ensure that we have exceptional service level with good customer service for retention purposes. The challenges would be to deal with an irate customer to calm them down and assist them to the best of your ability. i have learned that customers must be treated fairly and the should feel that they are being taken care off.

Pros: i received an opportunity to be a trainee for legal collections and it was exciting
Cons: not going to lunch to ensure that the set targets are met
