Fantastic IT all-rounder Technician

I have my own reliable transport, mobile phone, laptop and 4G. I am currently saturated in Pretoria but I’m willing to relocate/travel if necessary throughout Gauteng. I am certified with a National certification for A+ and N+ for 10 years and I possess more than 20 years hands-on experience with PC/Servers/End users in my spare time, part time and full time. I do installations, repairs and maintenance on any computer. Also do back up's, unlock blocked, corrupt computers, regularly fight virus penetrations, remote administration, data recovery, printer and network repairs, POS, CCTV etc. I have a 99% fault repair ratio. For many years if have been selling hardware and software to personal/corporate clients and I keep myself well informed with component prices and new technologies. Also I provide onsite/offsite advanced PC support, Microsoft Products (All Windows OS, All Office packages, All IE versions) and internet training.

Pros: Wonderful opportunities, good exposure to technologies
Cons: No more room for promotions and growth in the company

Small orealisation equal a great learning curve

I would like to work for a company that does not limit me to one thing, flexible working hours and along an honest team. I have learnt that team work equals greater achievements. I enjoy planning and being involved in a project from inception to completion stage

It was good being based in the warehouse, on each shift we had like a thousand staff working.

We were a company of 200 staff but also had staff at different sites. I was responsible of all Risk. I had interactions with the staff on a daily basis, speak to them on different topics regarding risk. I believe communication is key, so if there are any issues, staff will phone me to let me know. They reported all near misses an incidents directly to me. I enjoyed interacting with staff, learning about the different cultures. My most challenging aspect of my job was preparing all legal documents and training for all Audits, but I love challenges.

Pros: No growth in the company
Cons: Worked long hours and weekends
