High pressure high output
rotate weekly onto different area of work. each section with its own difficulties.( metals testing, Filling hall lines, Batching). Recieve anywhere between 5 to 70 samples per shift. testing of raw materials. Major interaction between technician and operators working on filling lines. i maintain a very professional relationship with those around me although I am considered a very bubbly person. i enjoy making the environment around me a pleasant one although I encourage always speaking your mind if there is ever a problem. At my current company I am a Juniour technician who performs as a senior technician. I am also considered the Additive senior technician and I am among 1 of 4 people who have handled Master data. I have learn various test methods and laboratory protocols with Blendcor lab. the most challenging aspect of the job was handling multiple samples at the same time and staying within the time limit per sample. keeping strict turnaround times was a vital KPI in the laboratory.
Pros: teaches each individual great time management skills and tests their ability to work under pressure
Cons: Not much opportunity for growth or promotion regardless of an individuals performance

Our plant produces 3 million liters/week of various grease and lubricants SKUs.
I have worked hand-in-hand two manufacturing managers, were I am exposed to practical leadership skills and ethics. I take part in wage negotiation with unions, employee conflicts resolution, employee appointments and job profile classifications. I am also part of the OPS forum, were we review and decide on future planning of the business strategies. We discuss key business riks (strikes, supply shortage, standard changes, customers complaints) etc and come up with mitigations.
Pros: produces 3 mil liters /week . customers in africa and europe

Excellent learning curve
I’m a down to earth collective young individual, who loves to learn new things. I completed my Diploma in Information Technology Networking and a Learnership course in System Support at Bytes People Solutions. I previously worked at Blendcor (Pty) Ltd a company owned by BP and Shell jointly 50% each, doing IT support and was part of a SAP (System Application Products) implementation project in 2014/2015. Currently, I work at K5Business a SAP Silver partner company situated in Durban North as a SAP Basis Consultant. I’m a go getter who works well under pressure and really gets frustrated when work is not complete. I always manage to reach my goals in life using my motto being “Reach beyond the stars, so if u don’t reach beyond u would have reached the stars.”

Business Assurance Manager scope of work review
I work 8hrs per day in 5days. I manage suppliers quality performance; I manage quality Assurance projects; audits. I have a team of 3 technologists; systems co-ordinator and packaging co ordinator. Out team motto we do everything as a family. We share ideas and engage even after work, we believe in spirit of care to each other sothat we can care about our customers I enjoy new challenges. I have passionate in mentoring and coaching. Challenging aspect fo the current job is to deal with number of suppliers in a joint venture business that I am in

Great opportunity to develop as an artisan
My daily tasks include attending to breakdowns on filling and packaging machines,automated blenders,grease manufacturing and packaging equipment. Amongst these I am involved with proactive and schedule maintainence as well as preventative maintenance. Routine walkabouts are documented and actioned . other tasks include electrical and rigging performance and assisting in machine and changeover setups

Challenging role
This is a very challenging environment for me . I am responsible for all the HR aspects from Recruitment process to Industrial Relations, Training and Development Employment equity and BBBEE, HR projects, rewards and recognition and other hr ad hoc. Every day is a busy day with different challenges. When I get home I go straight to bed cause of fatigue

Quality and reliable skills
It very intresting and enjoyable meeting and engaging with workers, you hear different storries and reviews on how they think about the company furture. A place like that you learn more and more everyday and yiu must be quick in problem solving skills.

Good learning curve
I have learnt a lot in the past year and a half. Experienced working 3 shift. Met alot of friendly people and enjoyed working with different teams. There is a lot of unity withing blendcor but not much opportunity for promotion and growth. A typical working day involves testing of lube and base oils for shell and bp in order for samples to be filled and sent to customers.

Work well with other people
I have started as a Lab trainee in 2011. 2012 they extended my contract and I became a contract lab technician. In 2014 I hit the permanent job with the same company and started working shift. In 2016 September I became acting shift team leader. In 2017 have became Senior lab technician working as a lab Progress chaser.
