Summary

Currently working at Bitco holding as position of Voice and Data Technical Engineer. I am dedicated and enthusiastic professional with over 4 years in IT field. I have experience in Voice, Wireless networking, Cabling, Desktop support, Fibre Optic cable and Networking. I currently operate on Linux and Microsoft. I do PABX, VPBX, PRI, BRI, Routers, Firewall, Switches, ATA’s, VOIP, etc I am currently in a position of CCNA, Comptia N+, Comptia A+ and NQF Level 4 in Information Technology and Computer Science. With the experience I have gained throughout my career level and my studies I am committed to utilize it in any chance given. I still have a lot of room to learn more and to benefit the company. I have a good customer care, friendly person, good listener, team worker and a patient person. I am a person who love to socialize and I love sport, particularly soccer and to research on Internet.

Great learning environment

Bitco is a good company to work for. It has great employee relations structure and like any other family there are always issues but where won't you find some. In my two years in the company I've gotten to learn a lot, well more than some guys I found there simply because the organisation gives it's employees room to grow so it's up to one to choose if u want to or not. So basically in two years I've gone from being a dumb person to this crazy & hungry IT personnel. There's a lot to say but I'm not really good with words which is why I moved from a media professional into IT

Pros: Competitive tasks on a regular basis, you get to learn new things everyday on our systems or the client's

WIRELESS AND FIBRE INSTALLATIONS. SITE SURVEYS AND COMPLYING REPORTS.STANDBY.

Installing wireless dishes (Internet), sector, alcomas and redlines, maintenance of high sites, compiling reports, fault finding and configuring cisco switches. Assisting fibre teams sometimes and being on standby for certain period.

Pros: SUPERVISOR, HAVING MY OWN TEAM BY LEADING IT.
Cons: 08:00 - 17:00 DEPENDING + OVERTIMES

Great experience. A lot of exposure.

It was a huge learning curve. Great skills learnt. Confidence on what I know. Tough times. Bad working environment. No acknowledgement for work well done. No real training given. But I think that's why I know what I know how.

Pros: Learnt a lot of skills.
Cons: Bad team work.

Good learning curve

The company is diverse but there is no growth at all. Had a very good working relationship with my co-workers,we work from 8-5. The most challenging part of the job is dealing with another departments or suppliers.

Excellent Learning Experience

I have learnt so much and have had the pleasure of managing an amazing team. • Management of the central Sales Administration email address, Helpdesk and ERP and distribution of all Sales Administration to the Sales Administrators; • Ensuring that all distributed work is completed timeously and accurately by the Sales Administrators in my team, via checks on ERP and via manual spot checks; • Managing and assisting in all facets of departmental operations and training. • Training and assisting new recruits who require direction; • Management of the Fibre/wireless orders process through to completion; • Management of the Sales Order Report and distribution of daily and any other reports to EXCO and Sales Management; •

Pros: Always ready for growth and change

My company is a friendly and acommodative enviroment to work in.

Include things like: - A typical work day First thing I do is check my emails and volumes of tickets that I have and action them according to priorities - Your relationship with co-workers We are able to work as a team and able to transfer knowledge amongst each other - What you have learnt To be innovative and able to make descisions alone,and always abreast my knowledge with new technologies - What you enjoy most To be able to help client with the best of my ability and transfer my knowledge with the team - The most challenging aspects of the job
