I would love a challenge, growth in my carreer
its realy hectic here where I am at now @ freight desk but I love working under pressssure. We get involved with all the role players in the imports side, seamless motion of supply chain. Health & safety is an important factor in the workplace so I take care of all employees Hygiene health risk as the SHE co- ordinator. I love then challenges my job throws @ me not just stagnant.
Pros: multi tasking in different areas

BPL appointed me with no experience as i came from private practise as an attorney.
Receive, review and negotiate claims. Review and draft contracts. Meet with roll players with regards to Business Rescues, liquidations and litigations Assist with debt collection Review procedures Give training Chair disciplinary hearings Learnt everything of the freighting industry at BPL. Enjoy interaction with attorneys best but do not like the claims handling too much. Most challenging is to review complex contract especially where we have multiple contract with the same client.

Quick ideas and innovation.
The company i would like to be employed must have growth and development. Employees should play a key role in the business and be rewarded for innovation and merit. The current comany I am employed at is overseeing the GL Team and ensuring that capture and accounting entries are accurate and precise. Involved in audits, meetings, budgets, presentation to the board. I am a sociable individual but very deadlne driven, as my subordinates know when it comes to work. I have a passion to help employees and show them innovative and simpler way of doing stuff. I learnt to deal with difficult employees as I give clear thought given to a situation, understanding the employees as well as evaluate the situation and derive to the best solution that would work for both the company and the employee.

Great working environment
This company pushes employees to learn so we always on workshops and short courses. from the first of the month to the 15th are the most busiest times for me as I have a lot of reports, and not just reports for the branch but reports at a National level which are received by clients so my accuracy is very important. The mind end procedures of reconciling the invoices to the statements doing your age analysis, getting the approvals and making the payments has become very easy to me as I started doing it as a creditors clerk. Now I mostly check on my team on how they are doing and guide them, help them resolve queries. I now focus only mainly the big accounts such as customs(SARS) and insurance among a few. My payments alone amount to over R500 million so when I combine this with my teams payments its way above R500 million. I'm learning a lot with customs (SARS) as the are many regulations with different shipments that we do I enjoy it a lot.
Pros: Great working environment and studying opportunities
Cons: Once you a controller its almost the cieling as there are only a few managers.

BPL is a good and a lerning curve
-working at BPL is good and fun -team work is what they represent -people are nice and friendly -I was on a learnership program that are learned a lot
Pros: working hours where allowing to balance private lifee/corparate life

Company needs to diversifu at management level

Cons: 8 hours and I go extra mile and work overtime when is required.

Excellent stepping stone
its a nice company to work for but the salary is always a problem. it gives nice opportunities to unemployed youth through leanership program which help alot of people who are coming from different background
