Opportunities for growth

It is a good working environment with positive prospects and opportunities. There are good opportunities to advance your a career. Management is very supportive of your ideas and suggestions. Telecommuting is permitted, flexible schedule. The company offers good benefits, and also provide additional training to continue learning new skills. You get to work with some great people from all over the world. Leading edge technology, very exciting and fast paced. However, culture of blame and bullying. Multimillion start up saddled with an excessive amount of debt, goodwill, and intangible assets on the balance sheet. Bonus and compensation not consistently applied across divisions and arbitrarily determined based upon the good senior network. Turnover is high but morale is low.

Excellent

e=TThe Company has a good image its one the best Construction Companies in the Industry, it’s a Grade 9 company, excellent Quality and Safety management system busy with ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14500 Certification. The working Environment is very good, surrounded by qualified professionals, it also gives students an opportunity to do their experiential trainings /internships I also started as a student. It is a good Company to work at , we come across different challenges especially on site cause there are community leaders or SMME’s who feels entitled to be part of the project by force so it causes commotion on site , cause they don’t want to do things accordingly but they want to be part of the project by force . I really enjoy working in this company cause I started working here only as a Project Administrator now I’m a Quality Control Coordinator and I’ve grown so much interest in itthe he

Training Ground

I'm hired as a Receptionist but practically assist with everything from handling switchboard to assist with tender documents i need to know everyone's where abouts or working schedule for the week more often than not i work late hours to ensure tender documents are done correctly and sent on time. My relationship with my co-worker is really good i get along with all of them. I enjoy putting tender documents together and binding them then seeing the finished work gives me great pleasure. People coming with work that needed to be handed in weeks before asking for your help over the 12th hour.

Pros: I'm not limited to doing only Receptionist work I'm exposed to doing other jobs for other departments as well

Learning

I knew nothing about Tendering when I joined the company. I was taught all the processes and now I have become a pro. I was working in a team that was very helpful, they made sure I understand everything and whenever we had issues we made sure that they do not affect our work. I enjoy learning new things. Working on different tenders gets exciting, especially the ones that require a lot of things because they make you gain a lot of experience. there's so much pressure in tendering however I have learnt how to handle it and how to be patient with other people, who are supposed to give you what you require from them. there were times when we had to work all night and come back to the office after a few hours of rest.

Challenging environment

- long work days - team player, everyone is helpful - extensive project management skills training - going to site - I do everything alone, project administration, project financial administration, client liaison and managing & coordinating my team of artisans

Pros: great opportunity to expand knowledge and experience on Maintenance Projects
