The environment is fast paced and not for people that want a silent day at the office.

I have a passion for people to assist and have empathy for the client frustration. To help and serve is a great honor in the client relation section. I am used to working under pressure and to reach targets and to deliver a quality service that is measured according to company standards. I am a team player and work hand in hand with other departments to build a good relationship to provide an excellent client service experience for the client that walks through the doors or that need assistance telephonically or to correspond via an electronic media.

Pros: There is no room for promotion in the company
Cons: The medical aid industry is not growing due to the economic situation.

Excellent learning curve

Armed with solid academic foundation and experience, Refilwe has had the opportunity to work for various industry players ranging from Primedia, Mamepe Promotions, International SOS, The Southern African Music Rights Organisation and most recently, Bestmed Medical Aid Scheme. These roles had a strong focus on stakeholder orientation. It is in these industries that Refilwe has learnt, refined a plethora of skills and has gained immense knowledge on the workings of different industries.

Excellent learning curve

I believe I work well with my co-workers, not only do I motivate them to do their best in the work but to strive for excellence outside of work as well. I am actively involved in the daily running in my team. I have learned to be complaisant, to search for new and exciting challenges. The most challenging aspect of the job is the counseling and giving of warnings.

Family like environment

Not formal or fussy, a more relaxed environment, with great relationships. Like with most organisations, the greatest challenge is the silos. Strong focus on collective vision and goals. Good communication channels - and most managers have an open door policy, are very personal-able and easy to talk to.

Cons: Predominately female workforce; who you know, not what you know.

Great Company

Bestmed is like a family. Love working there. Caring for staff really well. I manage a group of 13 staff members. Very busy call centre. Great atmosphere.

Great structural internship program

The internship focuses on involving us on the day to day duties of the company into ensuring that we are well equipped with exceptional experience. small cubical office but great work space. challenging colleagues yet great staff.

Experience

Capturing claims on the system.It differ every month,one month is paper claims,next mont is electronic claims. I work very well with my team,helping out whenever help is needed and maintaining a professional relationship with all. I have learned different systems and the different ways in which every company function. I enjoyed the electronic claims the most. Challenging is just being focused daily because there are days that the mind is lazy but you have to focus the minimize mistakes on the claims and to reach the daily target.

Cons: no promotion opportunities
