Fast learner

I’m a dynamic, professional and hard working person, willing to learn and play a meaningful role in ensuring the success of my department/company. I’m also confident and reliable, with strong attention to detail and excellent supervision, interpersonal, analytical and innovative thinking skills. I work well independently, under pressure and I’m able to meet deadlines, interpret and apply policies, research and compile data.

A good experience

A good company to work for. Excellent learning opportunities. I feel that we are being under paid, there is no recognition of the hard work put in by an individual and I feel there is no opportunities for me to move up as we have management that would probably retire in about 20 years or so

Cons: carpet manufacturing is slowly down as there is little demand for carpet

Good experience

Skillful learning experience in the manufacturing sector. Lucky to be one of few that have graduated with a N2 in textile qualification from the company and government. Great experience day in and out of the flow of production process

I manage 3 employees, forecasting of raw materials and purchasing. challenging.

Currently I oversee the Planning department, I manage 3 employees who plan and keep the factory going. I have also recently taken over the forecasting of raw materials and purchasing of these products. I work very closely with all the production managers within the plant. Every day presents new challenges and it is very seldom to have two days the same. The job is challenging and pushed me to think out the box. manufacturing does not always go to plan, as there are so many factors to take into considerations and so many things that could go wrong.

I am a student now contract ended this year in January 2018

I am a student at Damelin college as my contract at Belgotex ended in January 2018. I have gained so much knowledge and experience in the time employed - i was never put in one department because of being a hard worker managers used to request for me. I assisted in the Tufting department where i was a machine operator and gave the permanent workers breaks (tea & lunch). I learned how to do joining and creeling. The engineer i assisted him with the maintenance of machines, painting and welding, etc. In the stores i assisted with driving and deliveries, and also the sorting of receiving and dispatch invoices.

Pros: Enjoyed the challenges at the above company
Cons: Very hard to drive fast in traffic to pick and deliver was under alot of pressure on the road
