Bearing Man Group Reviews

Excellent attention to detail and planning, administrative skills. Great typist.

My typical work day is rather simple. Start the day off with thanksgiving to the job I have and to do my work to the best of my ability as if I am rendering a service unto my Almighty God who provided this job to me. with a smile on my face at all times. I am very friendly towards my co-workers, however do make it a point that the workplace is a place of business and not pleasure or a playground. I have learnt to allow positive criticism and do not take things personally, I encourage advise from my co-workers and managers alike. I take in what I can use and let go of the rest. I absolutely enjoy challenging situations at work. I drives me to keep me on the top of my game and to continually prove myself. the most challenging aspect of a job is to know that you are correct in doing something but have to go another route, (possibly 1 of a superior and have to be quite about it). ending up me being the correct one and cannot simply say "I told you so"

Pros: Making a contribution in the making that I work for and possibly a difference
Cons: Working long hours and weekends

Good experience gained

In my 21 years at the Company, I gained alot of experience. My most rewarding experience was assisting branches with queries and the satisfaction that everyone was happy with the service I provided. I learnt alot from the commercial dept and dealing with vehicles for over 8 years was really good. I studied Paralegal and was able to move onto the legal side where I assisted the Company secretary with daily legal aspects of the company which I found absolutely interesting and it motivated me to learn more. My typical day was replying to all emails so everyone is happy and taking the day as it comes as every day was a new day. The challenges I faced weren't something that I could not handle. I always made sure if I didn't know something I would find out and go out of my way to assist. What I enjoyed the most was helping the staff and branches and that i gave a 110% in all that i did.

Pros: Had a great boss who always motivated me to go further.
Cons: No real cons as I enjoyed my time at this company

A stepping stone to my goals

I am Millwright by profession but i am currently hired as an Electrician in a company by the name of Bearing Man Group in a division called fluid technology. I am doing maintenance of all the machines in a workshop, i design circuits for our new projects and i also repair the ones the bring to be fixed and i also install them from different companies especially in the mines. I am a mentor to our newly Electrical apprenticeship to groom and guide them how we work within our company and the right way to deal with electricity.

Pros: Great opportunity for new skills and experience
Cons: Overtime and normal working hours will do for me

Leant a lot

There are always large amounts of analysis to do and we work under extreme pressure and are very deadline driven. Accuracy and accountabilty is very important in my position. We work closely in different fields as a team to delivery different goals for different products. This job has taught me a lot about the industry and to multi task.

Pros: learning curb from what i use to do
Cons: extreme pressure sometimes gets to you after days of long hours

Lack of stracture

I love and enjoy my work l, but currently where I am working is chaos no structur, lack of management skills which leave us employees frastraited and most of the time taking the fall for management issues.

Pros: They pay for any overtime worked
Cons: You work untill 11pm and still be at work before 8am

Challenging environment, with lots of learning opportunities

It is a high-paced industry, which requires long working hours. However, we support family values and work closely as a team. I was exposed to countless opportunities to implement culture initiatives, team development interventions and development of online training material to support individual learning journeys. I enjoyed the challenges and the freedom to create the required interventions as I see fit. It is a difficult journey, but we are reaping the rewards.

Pros: Great learning opportunities
Cons: Require renewal in the way we lead and manage people
