Excellent learning curve for pharmaceutical industry.

Good place to learn about pharmaceutical and where the process all starts. Small company so not much machinery and breakdowns. Mainly preventative maintenance that gets done. The day will start with the daily meetings as to what work should be done. After meeting you will have your jobs for the day, mostly small jobs as breakdowns rarely occur. Production works hard to nail maintenance around every corner which I don't like but just have to deal with it. It's like they just feel maintenance department doesn't work so they break unnecessary stuff just so they can feel they giving us work. Learnt a bit of refrigeration while being here.

Pros: Small company, growth can occur.
Cons: Production has an ill attitude towards maintenance.

Continuous learning curve

A typical work day is trouble shooting, which is slightly challenging. There are some days were I have time to do research & work at my own pace. Have a great relationship with co-workers open, free communication. I have learned that I can work well in a team as well as working on my own. I enjoy tackling problems that arise in a a structured manner. The most challenging aspect of the job is constantly coming up with new ideas & finding a solution to every problem.

Pros: Job not monotonous
Cons: Due dates to meet

Matric plus

Working for this company is great as it is teaching you how important is to stick to the process procedures; the importance is what you are doing; Teaching employees discipline; good manufacturing practice is the priority,health and safety of yourself and for everyone. Most challenging thing is keeping the process in the range for all steps of the process

Pros: This company is currently introducing the cGMP
Cons: We are working eight hour shift
