Looking for another challenge and a different environment

My typical work day, is working with a team of three people. Our department consists of 11 people. We all work wonderfully together as a team and department. I have three superiors that I report too. What I enjoy most: Working with people, they become like family. And working under pressure, this is my daily routine. Helping people were I can. Over the 11 years, there is so many things that I have learnt. Working with clients, Reporting to the management structure, working with other employees, meeting deadlines. Everything just comes together.

Pros: A new learning curve, a different sector for my career.
Cons: Long working hours

Mandated to make decisions that benefits the company and stakeholders

My company has given me greatest opportunity to explore in terms of the commercial services scope, including implementation of systems per project requirements from first principles, breakaway from the old project management principles and adopt globally approved principles, training of quantity surveyors not project risk and risk management, working opportunity closely with finance department and understanding financial decisions, value adding by identifying and selecting potential JV partners and drafting JV agreement, opportunity with international companies, deep understanding of sea and road freight as well as promoting and marketing my company to external stakeholders and customers

Pros: opportunity to make success of the position, thereby creating opportunity to be elevated to the new heights
Cons: Long working hours and traveling

When i was told that i have been promoted to Finance Department

I worked from 7.00 to 16hr30 daily Monday-Friday without any absentees from work, My relationship with my colleuges is amazing and i have learn alot since my promotion to become creditor clerk i am enjoying working with figures and my most challenging aspect of the job is to make sure that i beat the deadlines

Pros: i was haooy when i got promoted to Creditors
Cons: Working on Deadlines and I make sure with deadlines-beating the deadline in time

Excellent learning curve

Great working environment with great co-workers. The company also offered me a great level of exposure to a variety of projects. Working as a Quantity Surveyor, I also had great support from senior and commercial management level at all time, which made my experience there very pleasant.

Cons: Opportunity for promotion and growth are not clear

New Experiences

Relatively easy work day. Workload can get heavy due to deadline driven projects. Close relationship with co-workers. Learnt a lot in terms of inner workings of how a company works. Most challenging is getting all info required together before a deadline

Excellent experience

dggdgdffggjBasil read was a great way for me to learn and each day would come with its challenges. i have\\\had a very good relationship with my colleaques i have learnt to work with lot of plople from different culctures and understand eacch employee going to new place and that was the most part i enjoyed

Gained extensive experience

It is a really good place to work in, i enjoy my work. Hence i excel in every task given. Being at work feels like my second home to me, plus the good relationship i have with my fellow co-workers. I joint the BR Group as just an OH Technician and i have learnt a lot on construction, that includes SHEQ, Financial management & Advanced administrative skills. What i enjoy most about my joy, is it is getting easier by the day, due to the work i have created for myself. The challenges i have about my job, is the safety part, as the Basil read group report all the injury on duty & fatalities direct to me.

Me at work

My job has a lot of challenges as i am currently in a Accounts receivable and Accounts Payable position and not one day is the same. i enjoy learning other duties and to challenge myself. My relationship with co-workers are good i get along well with others and believe that if you respect a person they will return the courtesy. Because i used to work in a military set up, I always respect seniors and are very sensitive regarding feedback and meeting deadlines.

Cons: Stressfull

Daily duties

My typical day at work includes, drafting resolutions, ensuring that invoices are paid timeously. Prepare agenda's, draft matter's arising, set up committee meetings as per the annual calendar. Arrange refreshments and logistics around the said meetings. Send out SENS announcements, review and amend the Governance charter. Work with the company secretariat team to complete the daily duties of the office.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Very strict manager
