• Training and advising of Goldroom personnel in all sections of the refinery from electro winning to smelting and sampling. • Identifying and resolving problems and access the potential impact on production, gold room and equipment. • Leading and coaching team members in the active pursuit and achievement of safety and production targets. • Conduct workplace area inspections within all areas of responsibility and across other areas. • Monitoring and measuring standards of work and performance of team members. • Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of a safe system of work so as to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors. • Responsible for safety and security of all team members. • Keeping record off all expenditure and prevent wastage and control budget of the goldroom.

Good matrix progression

I made a very good relationship with my co-workers ,I learnt a lot and am still learning new things in instrumentation,I enjoyed doing new projects and commission them ,handling break downs,

Pros: Good opportunities though training was limited,
Cons: long working hours but was able to cop.
