I spent the bulk of those years working in multidisciplinary groups. I’m often chosen to head up projects thanks to my excellent skills by putting more than hundred percent effort. I’m most proud of the work I did on my former design team.

Good negotiation skills.Quaality driven with attention to detail
My current position entails a lot of auditing of stock within the consumable and parts store. I will typically start off by giving the store staff their duties for the day. Once I receive stock data from storeman I will get do audit on the specific items that needs to be ordered before I get quotes and do orders. I will do weekly reports on stock value to minimize stock losses. My work entails a lot of work on SAP as I will book all material used on a job on SAP. I have a good working relationship and respect from my staff as I communicate with them on a daily basis. I have learned by including staff in day to day operation decisions you get better performance out of them as they will sometimes implement their own ideas. The most fulfilling for me is when you start a new project to see the end result. The most challenging part of my job is time management.

Good
It is alright. Sometimes sit with nothing to do. Excellent learning curve
It typical day at work requires being able to multi-task and handle all requests with a level of urgency (as soon as possible). Teamwork is typically required as the success of each order depends on the work ethic of each department involved, it is thus essential to get along with coworkers for the primary reason of being professional and productive. I have learnt to appreciate challenges because it comes to grow you. Also that hard work, dedication, effort, work etiquette and integrity pays off. I enjoy getting a headstart on my work, therefore being early is important to me. Challenges include working with people from different cultures, backgrounds and personalities, each one is different and respect goes a long way.
Pros: If you work hard and do what is required of the job, it leads to a rewarding Performance Appraisal.
Cons: Monotonous. Feeling stuck in the same position for years.

Good exposure
I am always looking forward to go to work, My colleagues find it very easier to interact with me. As the power generating industry I always leap with joy when I do what I do best, which is qualifying our end products and sending proof of qualifications to the clients. My biggest challenge is when the end product does not conform to specification and my engineering department is taking too long to ingage in order to rectify the problem. SHEQ department serves as the window of the company therefore in such situation, one will have non ending questions to answer from the clients as to why delivery is taking too long.

It was a great learning curve and excellent for sharping my draughting skills
on a day to day it was designing and with some field work of review the sites. Good working relationship with co-workers. What i learnt more than anything was the electrical side of business as it was also the most challenging aspect of the job. I enjoyed most of the days at Barloworld as long it is engineering oriented.

Very good industry to work in and new products
Very interesting industry new projects in Solar Power. Selling of industrial engines to customers generators and then our new business Solar Power, Then to deal with different type off people everyday and also with colleges To make sure my customers is very happy with what me sell to them to benefit the most. The most challenging is to deal with customers that wants to be difficult about almost every aspect.
Pros: not real oppertunity for promotion because off only person in area
