In saying all of these below, i am not sorry for allowing myself all the exposure.

My job is not just limited to being a creditors clerk, I oversee building maintenance, assist staff with random queries, do switchboard duties, from head office report to doing company shopping.no two days are the same. I enjoy the variety of challenges but not being doing someone else's work and not getting the recognition therefore. Especially if it's an ongoing thing where management does not see it, because I am always helping everyone out. Not out of my own, I am approached and can't obviously say no. I will load payments one minute the next I must complete an IOD form to taking minutes for a hearing and that on month-end. Get the plumber in now, call electrician, get someone to fix broken window before close of business. I am no superwoman I am Vivienne. I think my problem is that I can't say no to anyone and still want to assist where I can. And this is management that want me to be at their arms length at all times.

Excellent Experience

A typical work day includes; starting at 8;00 am during this time i am responsible for all apprentices as well as SDF responsibilities. I am responsible for the BBBEE training component as well as apprentice recruitment and raining coordination. My relationship with co-workers I am a part of a dynamic and engaged team. I have a bubbly personality therefore i am easy to get a long with. What have i learnt- coming from a fast paced environment i have learnt to work well under pressure. Barloworld has taught me what university could never teach me. What i most enjoy about my job is the development of human capital. I like engaging with all stake holders in recruiting the best staff so that we are able to have a high performance teams. The most challenging aspect of my job is the work load as i am stretched between all Southern African regions, Keeping your finger on the pulse not letting the ball drop.

Excellent

Great company with good values. They also offer opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge. Managers and executives are very supportive and willing to listen. They offer a great competitive remuneration package.

Great learning experience

Being at Barloworld has taught me people skills and also revealed to me that I am quite versatile. I have great relations with everyone, from the CEO to the lady that helps in the kitchen. I gel well with everyone. I am able to keep and maintain good relations while I also push and meet deadlines, I thoroughly enjoy the challenge that comes with having to balance the GL accounts after a days work. I enjoy my work because it entails numbers and I love working with numbers. I also enjoy solving queries so as its a all rounder that leaves me greatly satisfied after a days work. Another challenge/mission accomplished.

Cons: Sometimes GLs accounts don't balance and that can be quite stressful

Excellent

My past experience has been in a customer service environment. Worked for virgin mobile , No finance cars and now currently employed by Barloworld motor retail. Dealing with customers and offering the servuce they need is quit interesting. In most cases you get to communicate with people in differeny languages and that on its own is a great charlange, as you get to learn every day. Position i hold is a lead administrator for a number of dealership nationally. Leads are received from the site , other is inbound calls as we in the inbound call center. We source vehicles for clients based on the area they are at . Even if they are far we do assist as the sales executive will then advise client on delivery cost.
