Great development opportunity

Barclays is one of the larger banking institutions in the world. The opportunity to work in the bank's financial crime department has opened up my eyes to a vast range of opportunities and possibilities within that industry. Working for Barclays as my first post grad job has been great.

Pros: Fast pased environment, thinking on your toes.
Cons: Long working hows, work is redundant

A well managed organisation.

I have learnt how not to do things. Leadership culture is one of 'telling' and not enough of empowering to do your work. Micromanagement and huge amounts of emails to deal with are the order of the day.

Pros: Many development oppurtunities
Cons: You have to find your own way with minimum support initially.
