Working day in my life

my day starts with writing up of info on the acc report and what should be charged. then I have to capture all of that information onto a company system which will in turn give me an order . from which the mechanics and other dealerships works from. I closely inter act with our drivers as well as the other staff on the workshop . as well as with other staff. I do queries via email as well as telephonic queries. I like to assist my fellow colleagues as much as possible it my time permits or I'll ask them to come back at a more appropriate time it I'm to busy. I have learned to respect people and to make them feel wanted and needed in my immediate capacity .also to true and depend on people more. I enjoy the people for I meet different people during my day. most challenging is to switch off for lunch time because I tend to work right through my lunch just to get work done.

IT HAS BEEN GREAT AS IT WAS MY START TO MY CAREER PATH

WORKING IN AVIS HAS BEEN GREAT AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITY FOR MY CARRER. I GET ALONG WITH EVERYONE I WORK WITH AND MOST OF THEM ARE REALLTY GOOD PEOPLE WHO WHAT TO MAKE A NAME FOR THEMSELF AND REALLY HARD WORKERS. THIS IS A VERY BIG CAMPANY AND TO BE MY STARTING POINT WAS BLESSING AND IM REALLY GREATFULL FOR THAT. I HAVE LEARNED A LONG , MY TYPING SKILLS, KNOWING MY COMPUTER BETTER, COLLECTING MONEY, SOLVING QUERIES AND HANDLING DIFFICULT CUSTOMERS. FOR ME NOW IS GROWTH, IM HUNGRY FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT WHICH I DONT HAVE HOPE THAT I WILL GET IF IM STILL AT AVIS.

Excellent learning curve

I started at company as a driver in 2006,for more than the 2 years I've done everyting except being the driver,2009 I moved to another department doing terminations of vehicles and all administration duties being acting supervisor at times,2012 moved to rental counter,duties incl.renting cars to customers on time,daily fleet control,housekeeping,and running from department to another,helping out with different aspects of the company incl.acting supervisor,admin.loved working with the people around me,Learnt alot to deal with customers,different characters,to have patience, understanding and also the different cultures.

Pros: Learnt the value of having another family
Cons: weekend and public holidays but was part of my shift

Great Company

Excellent working environment and a lot of opportunities to grow. There has a great working culture there's a certain type of person that's needed to understand the culture
