Learning Curve

At Avis we work through out the year there is no closing it's 365 days a year, one only take days off. I am currently working shifts you get to work from 6:00 am to 14:00 pm and then from 14:00 to 22:00 everyday. At Avis customers comes first you have to make sure that clients are happy with the service and gets value for their money. I have a good relationship with my co workers and managers and all the chauffeur that I work with everyday I have leaned so much since being at Avis. I was introduced to the new system; The AS 400, Wizard system, AVIS Pro, doing bookings on the phone and solving customer issues with customers face to face. What I enjoy most is that at Avis they want you to grow and get more skills, the company even took me to do the NQF level 3 Admin Course. My job is very challenging especially the hours. Overall I enjoyed my job and loved it.

Excellent learning curve

I am currently working Shits from 06:00 am to 14:00 pm , 14:00 pm to 22:00 pm and 22:00 to 06:00 am. When I get to work I read the hand over sheet to check if there's any problems and then print the manifest of all chauffeur and print name birds for chauffeurs collecting clients form the airport and contact the clients being collected from outside to confirm the address. And time of booking and confirm with chauffeur. Check if there any queries I need to attend to and then drive to the airport to meet the clients on arrival

Great learning environment

At my company we working in an open plan office not to forget as a well groomed team. My working hours are from 08:00am till 17h00pm, generally 7 days a week. My relationship with my co-workers has never been excellent than professional. Since I joined the company I have learned so much about teamwork, respect, multitasking and working under pressure. I also enjoy the daily duties of renting cars, meeting new clients daily and lastly resolving of issues. The most challenging aspects of the job is when you have to handle a difficult situation with an aggressive customer.

Pros: Needs to grow from my current position to the IT department
Cons: Long working hours including weekends

I am always willing to go extra miles and give my best.

I worked at Avis as a Rental sales agent. Performing all rental transactions, all daily and monthly reports.fleet planning. I took my work very serious,working long hour if needed. I have learned to work with different people and how to keep everyone happy and satisfied all the time so that they can be productive. The most challenging part was the time I was an acting branch manager for 4 months because I managed to keep everything in control and I even increased the branch sales for the whole 4 months.it was very challenging because I had to learn some of the things fast so that I can fit on the position.

Pros: Always willing to go extra miles and learn new things so that I am able to grab opportunities
Cons: We worked excessive hours to meet targets and customer's expectations.

Hard working, focused, reliable

- Debt collecting an updating debtors reports - Distributing bordereaux and invoices to customers - Analyzing monthly age analysis on the ledger - Liaising with customers in arrears according to payment terms - Investigating and resolving queries raised by customers - Obtaining customer commitment on payment - Allocating payments as soon as the payment is received - Escalating to Supervisor if no payment commitment is received from customer - Chasing overdue invoices by telephone & email - Updating the notepad regularly - Regularly making contact with customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary - Responding promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries - Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management - Undertaking account reconciliation as required Please see my CV attached further expressing my skills and work experience. Excellent learning curve

Overdue Administrator: Insurance Customers had 30 days to return an AVIS Rental, the Insurance will extend the 30 day period or terminate the car hire with no further extension. It was then the customer's responsibility to return the AVIS Vehicle within 48 Hours, if not returned within I will phone the customer directly advising them that they should return the vehicle immediately as they will be liable for all extra costs and an Overdue Fee. If still not returned I will hand the vehicle over to the Special Investigation Department and they will recover the rental from the customer. I will advise the Insurance Company and advise them that their client is liable for all costs. Call Center Agent: Dealt with high volume calls every day. I had to arrange courtesy vehicles for Insurance Customers. I dealt with the customer as well as the Insurance and Broker. If I could not get hold of the customer I will call the Insurance directly make all arrangements and then escalate back to the customer.

Pros: Great working hours. Great motivation.
Cons: No growth.

I am a team worker who is able work under pressure ,time management , communication, inter personal skills setting target a compliment customers service ,problem solving able to take desicion team leader with sober habbit

Best Company To Work For

The co-workers are friendly and helpful from day one. The branch managers even better , they really care for their staff. Working for avis I've learnt to to show empathy,honesty and humanity. I'm now accountable and I take responsibility for my actions. It reallyreally is a great company to work for I'd go back if I could. 🤗

Pros: Great company , really take care of their people. I loved working for Avis. Great benefits too.
Cons: Short breaks because of too much work one needs to do, short staffed.

It was a great learning experience for me because it was a first job for me as a graduate.

One word can describe working at Avis is FUN, people are getting along, working as a team. I have learnt to appreciate and respect my co-worker because they always there to help especially me as an intern, the most challenging aspect was to deal with difficult customers but now I am used to it and I have learnt to deal with them.

Pros: great opportunities for growth, Avis always train to improve their employees.
Cons: I can say different working shifts.
