Key Responsibilities • Accounting for various Africa entities • Ensuring the entering of correct financial transactions • Supplying revenue results to Project Analyst • Cash Flow requirements • Monthly GL Reconciliations • Revenue recognition • Releasing of payments to suppliers and employees • Budgets • Cash Forecasts • Cash Collections • Intercompany transactions

Pros: I have learnt a lot of the whole finance function, as well as learning a lot of Africa experience.
Cons: No promotions. Company currently under financial pressure and started to retrench in the finance division.

Always eager to learn new things and have shown great improvement on MTN SA collection

1. My daily work involves analysing Forecasting reports for MEA region as well as variances from week to week 2. I get along with most employees in the office due to my interpersonal skills 3. I have learnt a great deal on Projects and in Financial Accounting 4. I enjoy analysing a problem, getting to the root of the problem by investigating and eventually coming up with a solution 5. The most challenging part of the job is getting feedback from others when they are under pressure to meet their own deadlines

Pros: The drive to make sure the company reports the most accurate results and it is a true reflection of the company performance
Cons: Working with difficult coleagues

No real career path strategy

The company does not really provide a career path with promotion opportunity. They have excellent benefits. The company goes through extreme bouts of growth and stagnation. Resourcing does not equate to workload resulting in long working hours. As an international company the work hours are flexible. There is a lot of travel involved.

Cons: No work Life Balance due to long working hours

Eager to learn and go extra mile

Everyday when I come to work I do same things, I see myself to work with new things and meet challenges I'm a humble person, down to earth. my relationship is good with my co-workers. Our relationship is about work.I have learned a lot in this Industry, team work can help achieve same goals as a company, and communication is the best key in an organization which helps to share ideas as people. I enjoy learning new things, when I started working in telecommunications industry in 2015 I did not know about microwaves, but I learned a lot. The most challenging aspect in telecommunication industry is when you have to solve problems for example if the link is not working, you have to do analysis, you have to know what you doing.

Pros: Opportunity to grow
Cons: work after office hours
