Reputable company to work for

I have been in Sales and marketing environment for the past 18 years, during this time I received numerous awards, My moto in life " Average is not enough" I am going by this on daily base. During my time at AVI I have learned tremendously more about sales , During my time here I have grown my area by 170%, I get along exceptionaly well with my peers and management, Dealing with difficult customers always a challenge but as a team we manage this very well.

Pros: Remuneration very good, good insensitive structure , Well known Brands,
Cons: Promotion in nearly future unlikely unless I relocate

This is a great place to kick-start my career. Awesome people, awesome company.

I am a social person and a typical work day for me is spent in front of the PC and calling training providers along with everything that is written on my CV. In this position I have learnt to be professional in all instances and not be emotional about somethings. I have learnt to be patient and pay much attention to detail. The most challenging aspects of my job would be the time when we have to compile a BBBEE report. What I enjoy most about my job is the relevance of Industrial Psychology in it.

Pros: the pros of working in this company include being exposed to all Human Resources Shared Services roles even though I am in the Learning and Development department.
Cons: the only con about working here is that it is far from home

I have a good who he allowed to me always explore new duties and avenues within purchasing.

AVI National Brands granted me an opportunity to spread my wings and learn new techniques since i started at the business in 2012. I have learned quality negotiation skills and work closely with Executives and Directors to learn how the business operates and makes a good Procurement Manager. I work closely with several departments such as Marketing, Finance, Projects, Sales and Planning. The most challenging experience within my job is getting the best suppliers, with the lowest cost.

Great exposure to numerous Human Resources Shared Services roles and duties

My days start very early and that is a personal choice :7:30 to 15:30. I have a great relationship with my colleagues and I enjoy working around them because they are supportive and uplifting. I have learnt to listen more and be more attentive to detail with the little things that one may overlap on systems. Mostly I enjoy engaging with clients and knowing that our clients are happy with the work that we do. The most challenging aspects of the job are waiting for business units until they realise that its crunch time and that makes creates an overload on my side.

Pros: Learning the tricks of the trade con a larger spectrum than my position
Cons: Noisy working space

• Close cooperation with the teams at group level regarding knowledge-sharing and business development for specific expert topics across Africa • SAP validation and vetting, SAP delivery schedules. SAP Ariba for Botswana, Namibia and Zambia.
