• Learned the importance of transformation as a business imperative. • How to put together transformation strategy with specific plans, targets and monitoring mechanism. • Got exposed to different tactics and strategies of stakeholder engagement from Executive teams, to Unions, CCMA, Bargaining counsel, BBBEE verification agencies and general employees. • Had an opportunity to lead wage negotiations and section 189 consultations • Enjoyed talent and performance management the most.

Great Exposure in the BBBEE space

I am an HR professional of more than 16 years and had the privilege of working for blue chip companies like BMW, SAB, Total and now Aveng. Being exposed to different industries and spending a just over a year in Retail Operations was significant in enriching my professional experience. My Career highlights were a lot more pronounced a SAB,Total and now Aveng, detail of which are on the first page of my attached CV. The manufacturing sector had been unstable for a while now, particularly those supplying mining support product, hence my desire to explore other industries. I am looking for an opportunity for further growth in my career while bringing my experience to add value to an organisation. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

A TYPICAL DAY IS CHARACTERIZED BY PRE-PLANNING WHICH INVOLVES INTERFACING WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES AND MENTALLY PREPARING TEAM MEMBERS FOR THE CHALLENGES OF THE DAY . EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATING WITH CO-WORKERS TO PRODUCE WORK THAT MEET SPECIFICATION STANDARD AND CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS , AND PROJECT TIMELINES . LESSONS LEARNT IS THAT FIRST TIME RIGHT IS KEY TO SUCCESS .ENJOY CONTRIBUTING TO THE SUCCESS OF ANY WORK DETAIL .THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT IS THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THE SKILLS LEVEL OF TEAM MEMBERS IS GENERALLY LOW AND ONE HAS TO BE VERY APPLIED TO AVERT REWORKS AND THEREFORE FOCUS ON DEVELOPMEMT .

Works well Under pressure and can work with people

I'm a person who is always eager to learn and i feel growth in a person life is essential one need to grow within the company and life it self. My Duties is basically calculate and report all daily and weekly production stats I get very well along with my colleagues , being in the Safety department has taught me that we need people to make a success of anything. Without your team members you can not build or develop a company. Each persons input matters My most challenging is making targets and submitting figures to the client on time daily

Great learning environment

The business has been under a lot of pressure and losing market share resulting 2 retrenchments in the last 3 years. This has began to be unsettling hence the need for me to move. Such challenges have produced a team that demonstrated commitment and endurance under difficult circumstances. Other than the impressive progress with regard to transformation, working for the company is no longer stimulating for me. The factory next to ours produces smoke fumes on a deadly basis and tho has become unbearable.

Current role and Responsibility

Managing operational staff and also attending boards meetings for 4 companies. Spend most of my time between operational and strategic issues. Operational covers: facilities management, property/ leasing management, supplier management, project management, disposals of properties, acquisitions of properties. Strategic covers: strategic plans/ directions for the 4 companies which I seat on the boards. Attendance of all boards meetings and the subcommittee meetings i.e AGM, Remco, etc

Pros: seating on 4 boards for the organisation
Cons: Company selling off all non core assets

Great learning environment particularly on transformation matters

My typical day work is on consulting stakeholders and guiding decision making both at strategic and operational level. Monitoring and tracking team performance especially on administrative issues. I get along well with colleagues and enjoy the respect for my professional contribution towards the team. What i enjoy the most is coaching management and finding solutions for various business challenges. The most challenging aspect of the role is navigate cooperate red tape and balancing it with business needs at a point in time.

Pros: Great leaning environment and based close to my house
Cons: The factory is based in a potentially hazardous environment from a health point of view.
