Receptionist/Therapist

My current position has been a great introduction to working in the Hospitality industry. I have been employed full-time in this position for the past 2years and have learnt all the basics, dealing with clients, answering phones, diarymanagement, photocopying and filing, amongst other things. I also developed great customer service. I am a proficient computer and Internet user and am familiar with all Microsoft programs. I would consider my strengths to be my written and verbal communication skills, my high attention to detail and my ability to always be well organised. I am a hard worker with an enthusiastic attitude and a loyal worker. I am a reliable and efficient worker who is always willing to ‘muck in’ with the team when an urgent task needs to be completed. I can communicate confidently with managers and support them efficiently with typing, report writing and any other administration needs. I am self-sufficient and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pros: always work in a team and suppport each other in all, help out and make out clients feel at home.
Cons: having to be a family in the work place

Great place to learn, experience builer, but no chance of promotion to management

Avalon Springs is a beautiful resort, i've completed a management degree, but in almost 2 years here. I haven't even been considered for promotion to at least a line manager position or even supervisory role in my post. Management don't really care about staff and are usually loking out for their interests rather than the company and staff.

Pros: Great experience builder, Great place to network,
Cons: No opportunity for promotion, Management disconcern relating to staff
