Working at autozone is not that bad wts bad its the salaries autozone is always busy i enjoy working here my core workers are like my brothers and sisters. I have learnt alot at autozene ive learn to receive and dispatching and many more i enjoy when we reach our target at autozone

Pros: i dont see any chances of promotioms here at autozone
Cons: we work normal hours every day we dont hve over times

Excellent learning and a hard worker

Able to work under pressure, can relate well with customers and be able to slove problems. I started as a promoter at glow promos and worked well with customers.

EXCELLENT LEARNING ABILITIES

I AM NORMALLY VERY EARLY AT WORK MOST OF THE TIMES FIRST. I HAVE VERY GOOD RELATIONSHIPS WITH MY CO-WORKERS( I AM A BUBBLY PERSON BY NATURE).ON A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK I WILL FIRSTLY GO TROUGH MY CHECKLISTS (DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY), THEN WHAT EVER COMES UP THROUGH THE DAY CAN BE SOLVED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. I WAS IN CONTROL OF 52 BRANCHES AND MY CO-WORKERS WOULD KEEP ME QUITE BUSY ON THE PHONE. I NOT ONLY SORTED THE PROBLEMS RELATING TO MY JOB DESCRIPTION. MY PEOPLE SKILLS IMPROVED MUCH OVER THE YEARS, HANDLING DIFFICULT CUSTOMERS AND PEOPLE NOT DOING THEIR WORK CORRECTLY. AFTER A PHONE CALL I WAS ABLE TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS WITHOUT CONFLICT. CRACKING A DIFFICULT RECON WAS ONE OF THE MOST SATISFYING ASPECTS OF MY JOB AND ALSO TO CALM A CUSTOMER DOWN TO MAKE THE NECESSARY PAYMENTS(IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HANDLED AT BRANCH LEVEL). MOST DIFFICULT IS TO GET A STUBBORN PERSON TO SEE YOUR POINT OF VIEW AND AS SOON AS THEY UNDERSTAND IT THEY SEE IT YOUR WAY AS WELL.

Pros: NICE WORKING ENVIROMENT
Cons: PROMOTION WAS NOT ON THE CARDS

INSPIRED

Started out for a month to assist at Trade Show and was recalled in May to assist in sales. The Manager saw potential and escalated me to another position in accounts. The staff at this branch welcomed me and they very happy to have me here. I enjoy the freedom to work independently and the atmosphere is very relaxing. All staff work together when there are deadlines to meet. No challenges I can't handle.

Pros: There is great potential to management at other branches.
Cons: we are required to work every 2nd saturday which suits me fine as I enjoy this job tremendously.

Good company to work for,

I've started working for AutoZone in 2008 its good company to work for,I've learned alot from AutoZone i started as merchandise then in 2010 was promoted as a dispatch and receiving Clark.my aim was to be a good sales man,for me to get the position i had to prove myself that i can do it,than in 2014 was promoted to salesman and i attended trainings and i was a 2ic helping my manager,its a growing company is one of the company to work for

Pros: You grow a lot in the company and learn a lot,is just that they don't do salary review,
Cons: 7;30 to 17; and on sat 8;00 to 15;00 then Sunday 8;00 to 13;00

Excellent learning curve

Im working as office administration at my work, I do filling daily banking receipting C.O.D and work at sales counter during the weekend .I have a very good relationship with my colleagues and we always work as a team to make sure that we reach our target all the time.i have learned working together as a team always brings Good result and it motivate everyone to do their duties with passion. I learned that every thing u do u need to put more effort so u reach your target goal. I learned new things in a way that I ended up being multitasking .I learned to work under pressure without supervision and also how to solve problems .I always enjoy learning new thing and growing up in a company .challenging aspects in my job is that I always need to make sure that the accounts customers pay before due.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion

Overworked and underpaid

Having to do more than one persons work which causes me to fall behind with my work - the work which I was initially hired to do. I get on well with my co-workers and have no problems in that area. I have learnt a bit more with knowing the different car parts and a lot of the related products. I no longer enjoy my work at Autozone as I feel that my loyalty and willingness to go the extra mile is seriously being taken advantage of.

Pros: Good working relationship with colleagues at branch level
Cons: Doesn't help to state grievances because empty promises are made and nothing gets done about it.

Non manager experience

Worked 15 years in this field. Experience in freight, admin, despatch, receiving, consumer oriented( over counter and telephonically). Team worker and worked under numerous times under pressure , making valid decisions. Recovered lost goods and maintaining pod also filing. Multitasking and assigned in different department to minimize and maximize delivery to drivers route on a cost factor.

Pros: Promoted from driver to despatch direct line supervisor. Thereafter moved to check line to ensure accuracy in order to speed up process of goods. Controlled picking slip line according to procedure. Thereafter promoted to warehouse receiving clerk.
Cons: Despatched and recorded on manifest of freight. Ensuring all documents and quantity of boxes totals accordingly. Reported to manager afternoon and morning for errors if occurred.
