Awesome experience gained whilst doing the work

because i have to wear 4 different hats (ie. switchboard,debtors,creditors,bookkeeping) everyday it is really a great challenge and blessing and time management is the most important aspect of the day. fantastic relationship with co workers, clients, franchisees and boss. really a people's person i've learnt that as long as you have a passion for what you do everything else just fits in. completing task,satisfaction when assisting people and they are happy with outcome, challenges are a part of life and like i say if you have passion and commitment to whatever you apply yourself to anything you do will have a positive outcome having to teach myself from being a credit controller to do the whole accounting process including meetings with CEO, statutory report, vat, efiling etc.

Cons: sometime not having enough time to have lunch or tea

Excellent on job training experience

because i have to wear 4 different hats on a daily basis(ie job functions) time management is a very important part of my day. i will immediately print my bank statements and do the debtors and creditors allocations. from there i can call clients with late payments and do queries. also i then process my payments for the day so that my boss can authorise payments to be made. do invoicing for both debtors and creditors. my relations with my boss and co-workers: i have an open door policy and help wherever i can. what i've learnt the most is. if you are loyal,honest and hardworking you will reap the benefits. what i enjoy the most: is seeing that my age analysis on both sides are as clean as possible with minimum outstanding days. in my current job the most challenging aspect of the job is versatility, be firm kind and compassionate towards fellow workers.

Excellent on job training experience

my typical day i have to wear 3 different hats and time management is of the most important factor on a daily basis. my morning starts of with the debtors side. running bank statements and do the allocations, invoicing, credit control and lastly queries and phoning the debtors for money. After that i start with the creditors side capturing supplier invoices, load payments to the suppliers and sort out any queries and reconciling accounts. the third hat for the day is the bookkeeping side, depending on time of the month vat submission and uif/paye submission. management accounts. exercises and daily meetings with owner of the company on where we can streamline cash control, purchases and general looking at the accounts on a monthly basis to see if everything is in order for financial year end.

Fantastic learning experience

Good relationships with fellow staff members and excellent learning experience. I had to deal with staff queries early morning and process all the necessary details regarding absence, etc. The working hours are fair and the working conditions are mostly enjoyable. There are stressful times but then there are also times where I get the chance to relax and take a break. The most challenging part is to keep up with the new employees and the old ones leaving as well as the leave details of everyone. It is also difficult to get leave signed off as all these employees want to take leave over the festive season and only a few can be approved to ensure that they business still goes on as normal

Job Description

I am a reliable person who take pride in my work. I have been doing over and above what i was employed as initially. I have taken over workshop responsibilities as well as still doing the payroll and basic accounting functions.

Pros: Staff are easy to get along with. Working environment is good
Cons: Hours too long , some staff do not cooperate, No benefits

Hardworking, self motivator

It is a motor company and has a large amount of employees. There are no company benefits at all. There are lots of personal issues and only some people gets promoted an. No matter how hard u work. You have to work 10x harder to be seen at some level.

Pros: Opportunity for growth
Cons: No bonus

Excellent on job training

Full debtors and creditors function,bookkeeping functions,management reports,vat returns,management accounts and management meeting with ceo of company. Prepare files for year end audits and work closely with auditors. Liasing with staff regarding queries on payslips and personal problem. What I really like about my job is the different peoe I deal with on a daily basis be it staff or clients. Task taken on a completing with satisfaction. I really go the extra 2 miles in order to get things done accurately.
